I'm so proud to say she was my first english teacher in community college. We had more of an open class, where we could just converse about anything happening in recent times. More of a social hour than taking part in actual work, when it came down to it, she was serious. Excellect teacher, hope to have her again.

Teaches a literature course the way it should be taught at a technical university. She expects you to put in some effort and respect her but in return she makes the class fun. Grades papers kindly and allows rewrites. definitely take her course, work is minimal but you still get a lot out of the course because the discussion is relevant to your lif

Ok.Lets be honest here people.All the reviews here are proclaiming prof Girards greatness for 1 reason. Shes EASY!This was 1 of the easiest classes I have ever had.HOWEVER, she is a TERRIBLE TEACHER!The class meetings are so increadibly boring its often hard to stand.you dont need to do any of the reading because she just goes over it all in class

Professor Girard is awesome.I highly suggest you take her if you have the chance.She makes the class enjoyable and doesn't just focus on literary devices.I would definately take her again.She helped me out when I needed it and is very understanding. Great professor and person.

Terry is an awesome teacher. I learned alot in her class, and it was alot of fun! =) She makes the class interesting, she goes off on tangents alot but she always relates it back to the topic at hand! =) Easy papers, and the midterm and final were easy! =)

Wonderful person and teacher. You will enjoy her class. About 10 short papers through out the semester with also an easy midterm as well as a final. Each book has a paper due. Lectures are very interesting. I got an A. Out of 15 wks, I missed 5 classes. You will learn the material, but in an interesting way. Take this course!

Terry is a great professor. The class discussions might seem to get off topic, but Terry has a way of tying everything together. Only she can find a way to relate birth control, abortion, or some other crazy topic back to the reading. Only 3 papers 2-3 pages, easy midterm & final. I definitely recommend taking her if you have the chance.

Girard is elite. Lectures are often far fetched from the reading but she somehow will relate wacky stuff like "birth control" to the books. Be prepared for the most unique final ever. It isn't really that it's hard, but it REALLY makes you think about society. When a professor can make you do that and care, they are one of the BEST!

Terry probably cares the most about what you might actually learn from the literature. She'll teach you that we read "Romantic" ( capital R) to learn the proper way to conduct yourself in society. It's very relavent and 2/5 good books!

I think the other statements regarding Dr. Girard are a dis-service to her. Dr. Girard does expect her students to read and to learn from what they have read. Dr. Girard is the best professor I have had at this University, not because she is easy, but because she is a good professor.
