Comment:

Benton is the most worthless professor I have ever taken. He is cocky, grades with his opinion of you in mind, and teaches so poorly. Exams are extremely difficult and are too long to finish in the decreased time window. Don't disagree with his opinions and do not challenge any of his ideas. Take with any other professor and you'll do fine.

Comment:

Probably the worst professor at the school. Gives a lot of work and teaches very little. His book is riddled with typos and mistakes. Key to the class is getting everyone together to study for exams. Also, he offered 7% extra credit on exams to join his club PSMA for $25 dollars. Do whatever it takes to get the other professor for this course.

Professor Benton is a brilliant Professor with an extensive resume. His class is very difficult, but he respects hard work. Get on his good side, show that you care, and you can get an A.

WC Benton is the real deal. Want a grade on a transcript - DO NOT TAKE this class - like the bunch of whiners who complain about him. If you want real world hands-on "this is for real" education, Dr. Benton delivers - Just as he served in the Army in Viet Nam - he now serves his students. Be prepared to show up and WORK! Dr. WC Benton is the best.

He does not teach in class, you have to learn from HIS book doing the homework except the book is TERRIBLE + doesn't teach you. He goes over the homework in class and then you go home and try to teach yourself the next section. His grading is so subjective + you won't know what you are getting. Condescending + won't make time to meet with you

By far the worst professor I had in Fisher. Has a great deal of business knowledge but just a terrible professor. Very disorganized, his tests are ridiculous as most multiple choice questions have multiple correct answers, seems clueless when conducting lecture, and has shown rude tendencies throughout the semester towards students. don't take.

A great professor who has a wealth of knowledge he shares with his students. He has a keen interest in having his students succeed. But you have to WORK for an exceptional grade. Don't think you can get an "A" while presenting "D" work.

Lacks Clarity. Grades Inconsistently. Exams directly from his textbook andthe assigned readings. Midterm and Final are 35 multiple choice questions with of 3-4 viable answers -- so phrasing is key. 3-4 short answer questions as well. Quarter project and case write-ups lack clarity, and graded inconsistenly.

Just b/c your successful in the real world, does not mean you can teach! And that is how I describe Benton. Is very vauge on what material will be on the test, has fill in the blank notes, changes the syllabus on a whim. If you have the chance to take this class with another Professor, DO IT!

Easily the WORST professor I've ever had the misfortune of knowing. His lectures consisted of him talking about how successful he was in the real world. Hence no idea what to expect on the tests. He gives you notes online but over half of them are blank, so you have to read the book very carefully if you want your notes filled in. Dont take Benton.

This class is no where near as hard as he makes it if he would just take the time and effort to teach the material to you. You are paying tuition to teach yourself this class, and the homework he requires, in addition to having to spend extra time teaching yourself, takes even more hours. He showes favoritism and lacks organization. Bad Prof.

This is definetely a hard class. But with time and effort it's do-able. Benton definetely rewards those who attempt their homework and go back to correct mistakes. Attendance is very important. Pay attention. His tests are difficult, but what really counts are the homeworks and group case study. Go to PSMA meetings for extra credit!

Must go to class no matter how boring cuz that's where you learn and he give out additional homework. Must do homework cuz some questions are similar on the midterm. But he rarely reply emails and availability is scarce. Show favoritism. If you have other option(s), dont go for his. good luck!
