Brie is a very good teacher and gives great feedback and is very helpful. However, make sure that you put a lot of thought into your essays because the grading is very tough and specific on those. Also, be ready to read a LOT!

I took this class a few years ago, but I have to say that still, after all these years of college, she was one of the best professors I ever had. She taught me how to write well and I learned a lot about myself as well.

Brie doesnt assume you just know- she explained things that i had never been taught in high school, or when i took freshman comp the first time around. She makes writing interesting by encouraging students to write about whats important in their lives.

Comment:
Good speaker, brings relevant issues into sometimes bland discussion of classic literature, genuinely cares about the well-being of her students. She will help you with any difficulty you may experience, all you need to do is ask.
