Amazing professor!! She is very clear and helpful. I am taking her for a summer session Ballet class and my technique has improved substantially. There is no pressure in her class, but you will still have the drive to work hard . Fun and relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic learning environment. HIGHLY recommend!!

Ms. Richards is funny, honest and so inspirational. She is a real character and I loved her class. She really values improvement and dedication and you have to try hard to fail this class. She just wants you to succeed. I also love how she doesn't take ballet too seriously and constantly jokes about "it's just ballet!".

Where should I even begin with Ms. Richards, she is an amazing woman. She makes class very fun and explains that entertaining her students is the best way too teach them. If you show interest she will be more than glad to assist you. There truly is a method to her madness. If you ever have the privilege to take her class don't miss it.

LOVE HER!!! She is very specific on what she wants you to do. Hilarious. Don't miss class, because you will be confused by the next class. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Midterm and final are easy if you read the flash cards and book. Lost a little bit of weight in her class. Highly recommend

Never knew someone so eccentric yet classy could exist! AND she likes metal! quirky humor meets real technicality is enough to keep the interest of someone like me who has 0 focus. Everyone who says shes annoying isn't intellectual enough to understand her. She focuses on you if she sees your trying which is understandable.

I love her! She's truly amazing and pushes you to your limit. She's really funny (and hot!) I love her personality she reminds me a lot of myself. She's such a sweetheart. Thanks to her class, I lost so much weight and feel healthier. She inspires you in so many aspects. Truly amazing. I just wish she'd walk around move and not sit next to piano

She makes the class light and not such a drag, as most ballet classes are, but I feel like she does concentrate on the top 5 dancers. I only got 1 or 2 corrections the whole semester and I was probably in the bottom 5 dancers of the class. I obviously needed more.

Oh Charolette, you are easily the most hilarious and incredible ballet teacher that i have ever had!! "Tendue's, they make you strong like bull!!" She's a wonderful teacher who is looking to make you all you can be. She is helpful and takes control over her dancers. She is dedicated to ballet. Best ballet teacher ever :]

Comment:

Took Ms. Richards for women's self defense and i loved it. It was sometimes physically hard on your body (especially first week & last couple of weeks) but she teaches you some cool moves. Show up to class, try to keep up with the exercises and turn in a summary/comm page for every chapter and its a guaranteed A. Textbook is also very interesting.

I took Women's Self-Defense and she was very empowering, inspired me to do well, and I think people that tend to have trouble are individuals who are out of shape and lack motivation. It comes from within people! (PS after 2 hours of cardio, punching, and strengthening she had to teach 3 hrs of ballet. Probs why she didn't do well there)

I felt that she spent more time on the students that were "good"than the students that needed help. She helped when you had a question but unless you were really good she didnt spend much time on you. I dont get why she's such a big deal,more annoying than funny. the class set up was distracting. not enough room too many different experince levels

Out of the six dance teachers I have had at SMC she is my favorite. She inspired me to work hard and I felt that I improved tremendously. Most importantly, I appreciated her eye for detail and form. Take Richards, learn it right, and have fun while you're at it.
