An amazing woman and feminist who really loves the topics she teaches. She is inspirational and devoted to teaching. No tests, but there are papers about philosophers and you need to make sure you do the readings and to participate in class, and she is a tough grader.

Dr. Taylor is wonderful! The papers are short (500 words) and there are about 4 I think, and there's a final project and paper that weren't too bad. The class is super interesting, even for someone who knows nothing about philosophy like me. Dr. Taylor is happy to help if you need some support, and I didn't think grading was too tough.

Ms/Mrs Taylor is smart and know a lot about philosophy. She is also a very tough grader and will rip your papers apart. Other than that, she is an okay teacher. Not the best or worst I've had.

She is very intelligent and knows a lot about the subject material, but she is too tough of a grader. She will really make you feel bad about your writing even if you're a good writer. Her class takes up most of your outside free time. Although I really love Nietzsche's philosophy now. So I guess it wasn't all a waste.

Readings take forever and are sometimes impossible to comprehend, and the prompt/rubric for papers are as long as the paper is supposed to be. Tough papers too. I was never sure what was going on in class but somehow still learned a lot. I'd recommended her to friends. Just make sure you have time in your schedule to read... and read... and read...

She's the definition of an okay teacher. Didn't really get anything out of the class, except friends! She talks for the entire class about who knows what and the readings are super long and tedious. However, her grading scale is pretty nice. Nice lady, there for you if your need it.

Printed off/had students print off many wasteful readings that could have been read online. Provided clear feedback on papers. Very disorganized. Would probably take another one of her classes, but never would recommend The Death Penalty class. Takes forever to turn back graded papers. Did not offer a student evaluation at the end of the course.

Dr. Taylor really knows her material. I worked very hard for my A, I went to every class and participated every day. If you pay attention and do the work you will be rewarded. The material can be difficult but its a 300 level philosophy class and she is the head of the dept. so you should expect such from her.

You will learn a lot but you're probably not going to get an A if you take a class from Taylor. I took her Nietzsche class and I really enjoyed the course material. However, unlike most philosophy teachers, she gives out a decent amount of homework and grades it pretty thoroughly. She seems to take disagreements personally for some reason

This is a hard class. Taylor is a thorough, difficult grader. She seemed to let up a bit over the course of the semester. If you take her, be ready to work. That being said, she's a great teacher and knows her stuff. The philosophers that she specializes in tend to be difficult reads, so the material is challenging as well.

Challenging class, but you will learn a lot, and the class is really interesting. She's really nice- seems to be a Marx buff and seems to be a little biased. Put time into the hw assignments- she is a pretty tough grader. If you put effort into this class, you'll definitely end up with at least a B. Good teacher.

knows her material well. very forgiving. medium difficulty grader. tries to make your comments in class "right" unless you say something way out there. kind of has mad scientist vibe but it's endearing.

Very nice professor. She is always willing to help you out and discuss things you are confused about. Go to her office hours because she's a HUGE help. She's tough on papers though - make sure you go to the Writing Center or her office hours to go over what you have written before turning the paper in. Overall - great professor!

She's a foucault-hack, so sometimes the stuff in the class can be pretty dense, but she does a good job going through the texts in class. Her tests are pretty easy because she gives out a study guide with ALL of the possible questions on the test.
