Dr. Glaze is one of the best professors at Coastal. She really cares about her students, wants them to succeed. When COVID-19 caused Coastal to shut down and move to online only she did everything she could to work with me and help. She is an intense and fun professor, but is super clear of her expectations. She holds you to an achievable standard.

Dr. Glaze is an amazing professor. Everything she expects of you is crystal clear and if you do what she says you'll do just fine. She's amazingly helpful outside of class, too: all but bends over backwards to help out her students in any way that she can, which is particularly impressive since she's also the head of the history department.

Comment:

The Norman conquests class was great mainly because of the professor's personal knowledge and experience. I liked all the art history--buildings, mosaics, textiles, manuscripts. Insane amount of reading, six books, a novel and lots of articles. Two intimidating exams but I learned a lot. She's very helpful with research and paper writing too.

Comment:

Took this class for the professor SHE'S THE BEST!!! An expert in the subject and makes it really interesting. She tells great stories, very enthusiastic and her powerpoints show cool manuscripts from anatomy and other texts. Heavy readings + 2 research papers, but gives choices on exam questions. Very helpful professor!

This class is not easy at all unless your up to reading like 50 pages for each class. If you don't read something its sure to be on the tests. Quizzes every week and exams that cover a thousand years. She tries to help but I just don't get it, it all runs together.

Best History teacher at Coastal hands down. She's understanding, interesting, and very easy to work with. Often pushes due dates back if enough students complain. Taken 2 classes, taking another this semester, will continure to take as many as possible. LOVE HER.

I have to disagree somewhat with others. The readings were heavy all the time and even though she shows what exams will be like, the real tests asked questions that you couln't fake knowing the material for. Those who can't cut it drop quickly. Gives lots of feedback onpapers, very demanding about writing--green ink everywhere!

This lady is so excellent. She makes learning History fun and interesting. I like her because she makes it to where you can't miss notes, quizzes, classroom discussions, and study guides by making everything available on WebCT. I wouldn't advise anyone cheat bcuz she makes it too easy for anyone to think to do that.

As others say, she's a terrific teacher if you do the work. Some advice: do the readings and come to class with ideas. Power points excellent, and make better sense if you keep up w/readings. Don't make lame excuses , and if you know any one in the clss thinking of cheating on a paper, tell them not to. She nearly blew a fuse in our TTh class!!

One of the most enthusiastic professor you will ever find. She loves what she teaches and she wants you to love it too. She is always there to lend a helping hand and plus you can watch cool movies and eat pizza in class. The material is hard but she makes it fun and easy to lear. She gives you her test to study.
