Incredible teacher, easily one of the best public speakers that I have ever had the pleasure of listening too. Grades reasonably tough, but is far more qualified and talented than the others who TA this course. If you actually want to be a better public speaker, he is your guy.

I took Studies of Pop Culture-about sitcoms. Fun: we watched TV for 3 hrs weekly. The textbooks? Long & tedious :( We never discuss the reading, but he'll pull obscure questions from the text. Rather unclear as to what to know for test, but helpful in office hrs. Paper at the end, but if you pick a fun topic, it shouldn't be awful. Take this class!

Great professor. Listen in lecture and do speeches his way and you will get an A if you dedicate time to the speeches. This class is not easy but if you take the time attend all classes you will learn a lot and get an A. He counts off for skipping the discussion and if you go to his office hours he is a great help!

Dr. Kish was an awesome teacher. Try to come early to class and chat with him beforehand. He likes it when you come to office hours and get to know him. As long as you're willing to put in the time, he is extraordinarily helpful. The lab for this class was one of the few times I actually enjoyed going to school.

Dr. Kish is a great professor and always very helpful both in and out of class. He knows what he is talking about and is extremely well-informed. I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in communication to take his classes. An A+ professor for sure!

Do NOT take him for speech, unless you are already profient, which seems to defeat the purpose of the class. He is unhelpful, unresponsive, and donates all about 1 hour a week for office hour(s). You will not do well if you are trying to learn public speaking skills. There has to be a better person to teach this.

He's a great guy but don't expect SPC2600 to be easy. You gotta prepare well for each speech. When you arent being graded he's cool and class always finishes early.

Hard professor but you learn a lot. He's really funny and if you show interest and work hard, he will help you. Just don't slack and expect to do well. There are quite a few speeches and a debate, also a midterm, final and a 10-20 page paper.

Took him for a Business course and he grades hard as hell. The class was stupid. Because 1) you can't read his writing when he gives you feedback and 2) because hes just useless in or out of class. Though he cracks few jokes here and there, he really is boring. Try not to take him for either spc2600 or geb speech class. Thereare othereasy teachers

Took his SPC2600 course. Do speeches HIS WAY and you will succeed. Exams come straight from notes and were not difficult. A geniunely good guy who likes teaching. Make sure you follow his directions closely and you will do well.

He is very nice and if you go to his office hours he will be very helpful. Since it was a small class, I had a lot of one-on-one time with him. Study for his tests! And you MUST go to class or else there is a 20% drop in your grade from missing simply one class!

Don't take his criticisms as personal attacks. He has very good feedback and if you listen, you will be proficient at public speaking when this class is over. TAKE NOTES. A large portion of the final is soley from notes!!

Great professor. He is fun and articulate on his subjects. I took both SPC2600 and SPC3603 with Dr. Kish; I was a bad public speakers and he pointed out and corrected a lot of my mistakes. Be ready to get some critic from him and always follow-up with him after class on your speech for additional feedbacks. One word to suceed in the class: PRACTIC

The class wasn't as easy as I had hoped it would be. However, he is an excellent teacher and definitely improves the speaking skills of all of his students. You will have to participate in both sides of a debate. The tests ask questions from the book and lecture. Good luck.

A good professor but you have to put the work into this class. You cannot use any notes to do any speech. However, I recieved A's in both classes so if you put the time and effort in this class, you can do well. Very intimidating the first day of class, but give it time and it turns out great.

Starts out tough & seems intimidating the 1st day. It gets better as you go. Kish is a good prof & gives good input, so you can improve your public speaking technique. He expects a lot out of you, but if you work at it, you will do well. Class has speeches, 2debates, 1 test& a couple easy papers
