Comment:

Like others mentioned, getting an A was reserved for a tiny percentage of the class. The class average is a C. Though he was tough, there was something motivational about his style of lecture. Don't be afraid to slow him down. One of the few math classes at Baruch I looked forward to.

Linear Algebra, the textbook chosen is awful, no quizes or collected hw, He goes too fast and is unclear, hw does not help with the test especially when the tests are all theorems. Very difficult overall.

Took both Cal 3 and Diff eqns with Prof Gordon. The classes are hard, and this professor makes you work hard, so don't expect to relax in his classes. He does go fast, but if you stop him, he will slow down and explain everything. I learned a lot over the past two semesters, especially how we should be able to listen to his thoughts, not his words.

If you have a job and other hard math classes DO NOT take him. This man expects way too much and goes wayyyyyy too fast. He knows his stuff but i pretty much had to teach myself all semester (literally). You have to be a genius at math and have a lot of time to study for this class. No curve, does not drop lowestgrade... honestly, not recommended!

One of the best Maths Prof. at Baruch! Nice, humurous and helpful. Just do the HW on time and you'll be B+ or better. Work harder and will Ace in class. All the exams are based on HW. Read the textbook before class coz he talks fast! Highly recommended!

3 exams and a cumulative final. Exams are based on HW and as long as u do HW it's easy to get B+ or better. He talked fast so u need to preview before, or u will get loss. U can learn a lot from Pro. Gordon. Take him if you like Maths!

To be able to get an A in his class you need to be both NATURALLY good in math and willing to go the extra 99 miles. He will work you extremely extremely hard. No HW, but in the end you must do it for ur practice. Attendance is mandatory. He is friendly but doesn't take any1's crap. like every human, he makes mistakes here and there but he is good.

Class isn't that difficult. A lot of the questions on the test he goes over in reviews. Pretty clear. Knows his stuff very well. Doesn't require class participation or check HW, so somewhat on you to make sure you're keeping up. I would recommend him.

I don't get why he has so many horrible ratings. He obviously knows his stuff. Many ppl complain that it's hard to follow him, but he answers all the questions and do reviews before every tests. You don't have to do the hw, but he gives you a boost if you do hw problems on the board. His tests are not so hard, and he gives a lot of partial credits.

He is the worst math professor at Baruch. Trust Me. I say that not only because of his bad teaching skills but also because he doesn't care about his student AT ALL! Many students dropped his class this semester. He speaks toooooo fast in class and only to himself not to the students. If you don't want to learn nor pass, take him!

If you are willing to put in the work, you can learn a tremendous amount from this professor. He works you real hard, but you come out knowing a lot. Don't take this course if you don't plan on doing the homework and you must attend regularly. Gordon is a very friendly guy, cares about his students and does not take any crap.

He went through the material really fast. If he does not like you, he will grade you hard. Even where you are supposed to get points, he does not give it to you. Is partial. a little rigid. during the 1 hour and 15 minutes time limit, you are not allowed to bring any drinks to the classroom, cannot bring anything into the classroom and cannot leave

He's a really nice guy, but so confusing! Obviously knows math well, but expects that we remember everything from previous courses too! Exams were pretty hard, and studying on your own seemed like the best best. I had an average in the mid-80's, but got an A-, so I guess he secretly curves at the end. I learned a lot about differential equations.

WORST math teacher I have ever had. I usually find a natural ease in Math; he made it disappear. Expects you to memorize every formula and every definition, then apply them all at the drop of a hat. Makes many mistakes while at the board. Does not understand his own homework system. Should not be allowed to teach.

dont ever take him if u would like to spend a semester in hell! does not help at all. expects you to learn all the material on ur own. He is the head of Dept. and that is the only position he should hold because when it comes to teaching he doesnt know what he is doing. I worked hard the entire semester and got a D

Wow, Please If you value your grades, do not take this professor. He is completely useless as a teacher and never helped me once after class. He goes too freakin fast to understand what is going on the board. We went on a daily basis of at least 3 sections of Calculus with about 50 problems filled with calculations and use of calculator.
