Mr. Butler is nice, he gets off topic the whole class period, he always tells storys, he never returns papers, there is a 2 question quiz everyday they are usually easy, there are only 3 tests in this class, im not a good writer but i got an A, i missed like 3 or 4 class periods, its a pretty easy class.

Be forewarned. At no point during the semester was anyone aware of their grades other than the "attendance" quizzes (5% of total grade) and there is no likelihood of getting feedback on any papers. While students are required to be on time, Mr Butler rarely was. The syllabus is merely a loose guideline for quizzes. Not hard, but very frustrating

He is a good teacher, but gets off topic quite often. He never returns papers, or tests. He returned the first essay and that was it. The class is easy as long as you show up. Funny teacher with crazy stories, but get off topic easily. Go to class and do the work and get an A.

I took this professor for ENC1102 and ENC2301. Both required a lot of paper writing, but if you go to class and listen/take notes on his explanations of the stories then the papers will be MUCH easier. Super smart guy, funny at times, and postponed almost everything. Tests are fairly easy...Just Take Notes, a lot of vocabulary words!

So yes, he's really random. He goes off subject A LOT but the class was super easy. When he talks and starts writing stuff on the board (which rarely happens), you should be writing too. Response papers weekly, which were a joke they were so easy. Just make sure to keep up with the reading and you'll be fine. Super easy.

Very intelligent and nice, but EXTREMELY random. Some classes we will spend only about ten minutes talking about anything related to the class subject. he is also almost ALWAYS late, but he takes an "attendance quiz" every day. You really have to keep up with the reading, but he never stays on schedual wirth the syllabus so this is impossible!

Terrible teacher... I hate to say it, but he is. He's always at least 10 minutes late to class, tries to keep you after, then he talks about things that really have nothing to do with English at all. I love English but I HATED this class. He makes you not want to go at all. He is very disorganized. I wouldn't ever want to take him again!

I don't go by what others say. He is a very good english professor from my perspective. He grades the essay with an attitude not to repeat the same mistake again. If you are willing to endure an hour a day of a horribly boring class for a pretty much free A, take Mr. Butler! Not only is he late almost everyday, he never returned one paper in the 2 semesters that I had him. If you study the glossary for the tests, you can get an A on them. As long as you turn anything in for all of the papers, you'll get an A

Late all of the time. Never gives papers back, ever. Grades are determined by dice. I think that he rolls two die to determine your number grade. No need to read because the daily quizzes never follow the prior reading assignment. EASY professor. If you want 3 easy credits take this class in one of the half terms, like FALL A or FALL B etc etc. He is so disorganized that he will not have a chance to grade your essays. His tests are really easy, just print out the glossary from his webct page and memorize it.

He was always late to class. He postponed all of our tests and papers. He does not grade your papers until the day the grades are due. Tests are very easy. He tells you exactly what will be on them. Take him!!!

He was 10-30 minutes late everyday. Never did we get any kind of feedback about assignments. At no point in my class did I know my actual grade. He lied about many things and when caught was very cross with students. The things that I was supposed to learn in that class would have helped me with all others. Nothing was worth learning in the class

butler is a really easy teacher partly because he is so unorganized. He knows his stuff though. i took the fall a course and it was REALLY boring because it was so long, but it was really easy. if you want an wasy class take butler. you'll get an A. He is a good teacher if he would just get organized. oh, and he's late to class every day.
