Took her for the honors section. I'm a shy sort of person with no experience in public speaking. This class was incredibly difficult to me, but I improved my speaking skills a lot. I'd recommend her to anyone, even though she grades speeches pretty harshly (people I talk to range from a B- to A- usually).

She is a great professor, she gives a study guide of everything you need to know that will be on the tests and then will go over any questions that you have. She will be back for one more semester to teach and I highly recommend her!

Comment:
Not necessarily a difficult class or bad teacher. Very passive aggressive though. Tells lots of boring stories, but will use them as examples on the test, so you must go to class and take notes, because she utilizes her examples and text book for tests. Tests are almost all the points in the class, except for paper/presentation option.

I took this as an honors class, which is a good choice. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there will be questions on the test that came from the lectures rather than the book. The study guide prepares you well, but isn't perfect. The prompts for the short-answers on the test aren't always thoroughly descriptive.

Dr. King is a great teacher and advisor. She has a wealth of knowledge, and she organizes her class in a very consistent manner. Lots of examples are given, and her memory is fantastic. Go to class, take detailed notes, follow the study guide, and you'll get an A. Take one of her classes!

A very well taught class. She provides excellent examples, great lectures. The tests weren't the hardest, but they were challenging. This class was lively and highly enjoyable. I would definitely take another class with her.

A nice lady and well knowledged in her field. She seems to pick out any tiny flaw she can, but she will give tips for improvement. I can't seem to get an A for my life, however.

Wonderful professor, has so many experiences and knowledge to share. Class usually gets into conversations about current events, passes the time quickly. Tests follow study guides and notes-go to class and look at the study guide and there aren't too many surprises. She would make a great advisor as she has lots of professional/interview advise.

This teacher is not helpful at all when it comes to being understanding and expressing compassion to life's obstacles such as a death in the family or a sickness because she will attack your credibility and express no sympathy If you can predict all of live's hinderances-then good look with her

She is wonderful--makes me want to run home and call my grandma. She is knowledgeable, clear, and most of all helpful. She stimulated my interest in rhetoric, and was very clear in what she expected of us. Great class; work hard + show up + a little studying = easy A.

She was a pretty good teacher and a very nice lady. We got into great discussions in her class, the only thing that I didn't like were that the last three speeches we had to give were all lumped in a four week period, and these were the biggest ones!
