Professor Nunn is SO nice. I loved her. I had fallen behind and she was more than happy to work with me. She was ECSTATIC whenever I turned in an assignment. She was one of the few professors that used my preferred name and pronouns.

Awesome professor, I'm halfway through the semester and just being in her class prompted me to do this. I've never felt such warmth and enthusiasm for a topic. It encourages me to do better. A truly kind and understanding person who you can tell really wants people to learn. I hope I am able to take her again before my time at this school is done.

She is a very wonderful person outside of lecture, and knows the material very well. I just wish she wasn't harsh on grading, she teaches and corrects work as if this were a Ph. D class in English. She would be best for Harvard not for CCSU, needs to be less intimidating and more lenient of work. My engineering classes were easier than this.

She definitely knows her stuff, but good luck trying to understand her lectures. She's scatterbrained and particular in how she wants you to write your papers. There are way too many readings in too little time to adequately review everything. Her guidlines are vague and unhelpful. I tried to contact her for extra help with no avail. Hard pass.

She's a sweet person, and accessible out of class, but she expects SO much out of her students. For starters she's never clear on what's being talked about during lecture, and If you are not interpreting a writing the way she does or expects you to, you're automatically wrong and the feedback on her papers are rude and don't help at all.

Great person. Horrible professor. So scatterbrained and all over the place when it comes to lecturing. Is unclear with what she wants. Extremely rude in comments on papers. Too smart for her own good. Abort mission.

Decent person, always willing to help BUT as a professor she expects way too much of her students. It is not a graduate level class. Meetings with her are useless because she will say one thing in the meeting and then when it is written on paper she says its wrong. Ive never gotten below a B in an English class until hers & im an english major.

The material is covered too quickly and the class is catered to those who already thrive as opposes to those who don't. She is always available outside of class which is nice, but any feedback given is unreadable, making it borderline useless

Dr. Nunn is AMAZING! The content of this class is very difficult and confusing, she makes is understandable and she is hilarious! She is a tough grader and expects you to work for your grade. If you meet with her during office hours she is helpful. I definitely recommend her!

Dr. Nunn is amazing. The class was pretty difficult, lots of reading and two 5-7 page papers, but she gives great feedback and took the time to meet with me many times outside of class to discuss my work. She is by no means and easy A but if you want a great English experience take a class with her.

She is a tough professor, toughest I have taken by far. DO NOT SKIP MORE THAN 3 CLASSES for you will NOT pass the course! 2 papers 7-10 pages long each - it doesn't seem like a lot but they are tough assignments. Her midterm & final are not the easiest of exams either. Be prepared to read every night and make sure you bring your book to every class

English is not my major but someone recommended Nunn & it turned out to be a fantastic choice. She is super nice, & made us laugh every class. She teaches confusing stuff but is really great at simplifying it so everyone can understand. Take notes, ask a few questions, & if you pay attention in class you hardly have to study for tests.

Everyone should take a class with this woman. She wasn't the easiest but she was perfect. She expected people to do the work which is understandable since we're in college for a reason. She helped clarify everything. I can't wait to take another class with her.

I co-sign on darn near every comment above. EVERY single student no matter your major should be required to take a class with Dr. Nunn before receiving a degree. No questions asked. Best professor I ever had in my life. True gift to CCSU and the University. We got a bargain for the Ivy League education that she provides...FACT.

I was fortunate to have a lot of great English professors at CCSU, but Professor Nunn was by far the best. Her grading was not at all easy, but she was always around to help her students improve. I learned more in her class than any other course I've ever taken. All English majors should try to take at least one class with her.

All English majors should be required to take a class with her. Her lectures are packed with valuable information and the feedback on papers is plentiful-like nothing I've ever seen. You will not want to disappoint this professor by not being prepared because she gives 110% to her students. If you plan to be a teacher - model yourself after her.

This class in particular was INCREDBILY difficult, but I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nunn. She has helped me in more ways than I can count - in AND out of the classroom. Passionate, genuine, caring, considerate...I could go on and on. One of the most wonderful people that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. AMAZING WOMAN!
