Professor Dikes is a nice guy. He never teaches in a boring way. He tells stories. He gives a study guide at the beginning of every single unit. If you do it and study it, you are prepared for the test. Test ?'s, straight from study guide. 4 written assignments, super easy. The drawback is foul language. Really recommend this nice guy.

Pretty solid professor. He's all about his lectures, but they are presented very well, and if you follow along in the study guide and take notes, you'll do fine on his tests. He gives once a week quizzes(not easy but not difficult), 4 writing assignments and 4 tests and that's your grade. Overall, if you pay attention, you'll do great.

Professor Dikes class is one of the best classes I have ever taken and I am not a person who enjoys history. He gives you a study guide at the beginning of each unit and everything in the lectures comes straight from there and everything on the study guide is on the test. He answers everyones questions and makes the class interesting.

This was the first history class I have ever actually enjoyed! He gives you a test review at the start of each unit and his lecture covers everything on the review. All the questions on the test come from the review and from assigned readings (they are easy). He has an amazing personality and I actually retained the information from his lectures.

Dikes is an excellent history prof. He loves answering questions and talking to students. Do not show up late, his quizzes are on power point and he does not provide make ups. The hard parts of his tests come from online readings he makes you do, which is the only thing I did not like about the class. Other than that, hilarious and entertaining.

He's a good guy! This is my second time taking one of his classes. He responds to questions quickly and easily. His lectures are easy to follow. I personally like history so the class was pretty fun for me overall. Just be prepared to memorize a lot of things, which is true for any history class.

Profesor Dikes, while keeping the class interesting, would always make sure we knew what was required of us with every assignment. This made it easier to complete everything with assurance and get better grades. Definitely would take any of his classes again!

Dikes isn't the warmest person ever but he is funny and keeps you engaged. Be prepared to be writing for the full duration of the lectures as he doesn't use textbooks or handouts. He makes you work for the A with 4 tests, 3 papers and weekly quizzes. Being someone who never enjoyed history, I was surprised to enjoy this class.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dikes, he has a dry humor and is very concise. 4 tests, 3 papers and quiz every Monday. He doesn't use a textbook and it is all lectures so bring a recording device and take good notes and show up to classes and you'll do fine. He adds sides notes and answers any and all curious questions.

By far one of my favorite professor's at ACC. Classes are lecture based, he's very clear about what information you'll need to study. There is 4 tests, quiz every Monday and 1 book report (it's easy). There is a review for every test, if you study that the tests are easy. Amazing lectures, I took him for Hist 1301 & 1302, he's great!

This guy is great! No BS about it! He is clear and straightforward, and has a sense of humor. He hands out a study guide for each section, and his lectures follow them to the letter. 4 tests, 11 quizzes, and a book review. I truly enjoyed his class this semester! 10/10 would recommend!

Prof. Dikes is one of the best teachers at ACC. There class is based solely on lectures, as there is no textbook. The test question come right from the lectures, and he provides a review. He is really funny, and his class is very enjoyable. My only knock is that he sets the bar for an A at 93%.

Dikes is the best professor I've ever had. He has NO TEXTBOOK he lectures in class (relevant and very engaging) and follows a study guide he gives you. If you take great notes his tests are verbatim what he says. I had to work hard for an A but it was extremely rewarding. He is also insanely hilarious.
