This is Professor is Awful. I never made a review here but with this professor i feel like i had to. Makes you feel stupid for not understanding something. If you ask a question he seems bothered. You are paying all this money just to read a $200 textbook. If you do not read it you will fail. No review for tests. I have a 3.8 and am scared of fail

Not the worse professor. The textbook is dense w/heavy material to learn within 14 weeks. He requires you to be prepared, buy/rent the textbook & study for exams. Written agreement assignments require library/Westlaw research or ask for help after class. Three exams; multiple choice, T/F, short answer w/generous 10 point curve. Learned a lot.

Worst professor in Suffolk history. Gives out homework without explaining it, then expect you to know what do. Gets really nasty when you dont know a concept and ask to explain... spent the entire semester praying to get hit by a car so I wouldnt make it to his class... save your time, energy and money and take someone else

Katims is rude, nit-picky, and will ruin your semester. He's condescending towards students, and even got angry with a girl in class because he can't understand her accent. If no one speaks up he gets mad, if someone speaks up he tears apart every part of their sentence. There's no winning. DON'T take his class. I'm an A student, but not in this.

Unbiased review. "Learn" 2 Chapters a week; self study. If the professor is out, prepare to have two days merged (3-4 Chapter Day). Involved 40 T/F, 12 short answer test. No review day. Read two chapters the day of each test. Inclass consists of him asking questions and stories. ALL CUMULATIVE TESTS. Expected to know all readings. Pop quizzes

Horrible! He thinks students are lawyers so he expects you to know everything from the textbook. Does not talk about upcoming exams in class and neither will he review for it. Save your time and money , and do not take this guy.

The guy doesn't teach in class. He expects you to read the textbook and won't go over the work you read. Goes off topic a lot. Expects you to know every single law and everything about law beforehand.

Probably the worst professor at Suffolk honestly. Gives test based off textbook but lectures have nothing to do about the test, get ready to teach yourself. Not a difficult class if you like law but he doesn't teach, expects you to know everything about Law.

looking up an old B Law teacher from NCC. Still remember his instruction from 1980 - what do you think of that? Good man. I am a CPA practicing for 30 years. some of Mr. Katim's comments I still think of. he shared his wisdom about business and life. God Bless him .

Had him last semester and he started out as a little unusual but then I realized this guy is the real deal lawyer and not the usual "Adjunct" . He demands that you read and know the material; about 2 chapters a week. If you want the easy way out think again, however I did learn a ton and I cant really say the same about other classes ;good job!

Assigns chapters, expected to know them before class. Easy to do even when 2-3 chapters were assigned, meet once a week. Doesn't like if you haven't put the effort forth to do the work and participate in class. Doesn't expect from to just sit back and do nothing. If you won't respect him he won't respect you and he'll show it.

HORRIBLE! Does not teach you anything. You must teach yourself. He has not yet wrote one thing on the chalk board. He expects you to know everything before you come into class before it is even taught. He makes you feel stupid. I wouldnt even consider him a professor.

Not an educator. Just a lawyer. U are expected to have learned material from texts' prior to class to a detailed extent that is completely absurd. He clarifies nothing and only complicates the material. Can be very condescending to boot. He has no idea how to teach or effectively communicate language to students. Don't waste ur time or money with this "so called" professor. An online course with another professor would teach u more. U have been warned. Proceed with him at ur own peril.

I am an adult returning student who has not been in a classroom in 11 years. I do not recommend taking any class with Prof Katims. He is as arrogant as a lawyer can be. His teaching style was nothing but confusing. Nothing was ever clearly stated by him and he was not the least bit forthcoming with his expectations of his students. Horrible class!!
