Comment:
I had Dr. Lergo two semesters in a row. Both times, I received an A. If you follow the syllabus, do the bonus work, and study the outlines in his lectures you will pass. He does know early on who attends class on a regular basis and who does not.

Don't expect your assignments to be graded for weeks. If you ask for feedback on assignments you'll get nothing constructive. There is no rubric to help guide your assignments. The only positive is you'll get a study guide leading up to each exam.

I don't know why Dr. Lergo has bad ratings. If you show up to class, take notes, do the bonus work and try, you will pass. There are 3 pre-exams, 3 exams, and bonus work to encourage attendance. No papers which is an added plus. He doesn't tolerate phone usage in class. I got an A. I am taking him again next semester.

Worst professor I've ever had. Says off topic completely inappropriate things during class, embarrassing students with no cause. Doesn't read what you send him through email/canvas. NEVER references the textbook, making it impossible to self-teach WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO DO TO PASS. He will disrupt class for 10 minutes if someone checks their phone.

One of the worst professors Ive had at Santa Fe. Very very little feedback on what is wrong with your work, but continues to grade incredibly harsh. Literally on my one assignment All that was written was inadequate and a bad grade. Test questions make little sense and theyre all 100 questions.

Horrible professor, grades everything extremely harsh. You can answer all parts of the question and the dumb teacher will give you a 60%. Don't take this class especially online!!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He is by far the worst teacher I've had my entire college career. Tunga does lectures but doesn't use any tools to help you (projector, canvas, notes). He basically teaches word for word from the textbook which is very expensive. He is very offensive and unorganized. Highly recommend not taking this class.

Not structured very well, Graded off opinion not coursework, Discusion topics can show biases you may not want to reveal, No study guide for the Final . Class is easy but this is the worst proffesor ive had.

I took this class online and it was the easiest thing ever. All discussions answers come from textbook and can find answers through the context. And test are super easy because she gives study guides with usually the same questions. Recommend especially the online class !!!

Hes a bit hard to understand and he doesn't understand your questions that good. A few people who asked him questions he did not answer and asked them the same question back. He seems to always go off topic when he talks.

She is a heavy grader when it came to discussions even though they were opinion based. The tests are easy but again the discussions will get you.

During his lectures he is hard to understand. Once asked a question, he does not answer your full question and instead tries to change topics. He is very one minded and has a hard time listening to other peoples opinions or statements.

3 Pre-Exams and 3 exams. Simple. 50 questions on the exam are pulled from the 100 questions on the pre-exam. You have a week to do the pre-exam & the answers are almost all in order in the book. A little hard to understand so sit up front and you'll do great. I skipped like 7 classes and missed a whole exam and still got a B. Lots of bonus work.

3 Preexams 40%; 3 exams 60%,8 bonus works to encourage attendance, 5%. Got 89. Try not to miss class to get all bonuses. They're critical and bumped my grade to 94. Write everything he says down. Use quizlet. Syllabus says 7th edition. He says 6th edition ok too to save money. I'm poor so I used 5th edition from library. All same thing. Nice prof.

I took this class online. I would definitely not take her again. The class consists of 5 discussions and 5 tests. Her test are 2 hours and 20 minutes long. Prof. Lergo is a heavy grader on discussions. She is not flexible with the responses even though they are discussions based on opinion. Also, she takes a long time to grade assignments.

Is very hard to understand and often makes comments about things that arent relevant to the class. Constantly makes references to how things are in Africa compared to the US. Only has three pretests and three exams and they are weighted heavy because thats the only assignments for the class. Definitely would take someone else for this class

There are 5 discussion posts, 5 tests that are grades. The way he writes his discussion post questions is confusing. He introduces the topic and asks a question at the end. If you don't include the entire topic, even if not mentioned in the question, you get major points lost. Also, if you do not have the same opinnion as him more points off.

Good professor, would take again. There are only about 6 major assignments throughout the entire semester. There are three exams and three pre exams which are essentially study guides with questions straight from the exam. The attendance is graded on bonus work which is given in class, if youre not there you cannot get the bonus work or make it up.

The class was based on (5) discussions and (5) exams. The study guides were very helpful, they were word for word on the actual exams and most questions can be found online. The only time I really used my book was for discussions. He also uploads the book chapters online for you.
