I didn't have a good experience in my theory 1 class but I have absolutely loved having Dr. Wacker as a theory2 professor. She really knows what she is talking about and presents things at a level that students can understand. She is really funny which makes lectures really enjoyable. She also really cares about her students and gives good feedback

Dr. Wacker is fun, caring, and knowledgeable. She made sightsinging much more bearable. There was a large project over the second half of the semester, but other than that she assigned very little homework.

I was awful at sight singing until I took sight singing 2 with Dr. Wacker. She's fantastic! It is a very quick moving class which makes time seem to fly by, but she breaks up the dictation and sight singing concepts up so it's easier to understand. There is a"quiz" every class to turn in a short dictation for about 10 points but it helps your grade

Took this class for a fine arts credit thinking it would be an easy grade. WRONG. Unless you know what your doing and your good at reading and WRITING music don't take this class. For the unit quizzes you have to write melodies that have crazy requirements.

I would deff suggest taking music 1008 with dr. wacker online if possible. It's super easy, and I literally sat down and did half the course the first time I opened the program. In like 5 sittings, the course was done. Exams are online and it's pretty easy.

Comment:
One of the most polite professors in the school of music when she deals with students. She's also easy to talk to and ask for help when you need it. She IS occasionally late to class though (but it's a morning class, and a bunch of students are late or don't show up). Students also take advantage of her being lenient about the attendance policy.

Do your self a favor and stay AWAY from this class online unless you are very musically inclined. Too much work, easy until after second test, then its impossible. Im a junior business major with a 3.75 GPA and this stupid elective is killing me, its going to be my lowest grade this semester.

Dr. Wacker is a great teacher and I love her enthusiasm she shows in her teaching everyday. When you have to take Music 2176 I would recommend Dr. Wacker she is awesome and is great at teaching Sight Singing.

very easy class, but very boring. listen to lots of classical and opera. have to go to 3 concerts and write a short paper about them. tests are not cumulative. she is very helpful, but seems nervous in front of the class.
