Dr. Neuzil is an awesome COJO professor. He is funny and caring of his students. He is also very helpful outside of class. There are no tests and he offers extra credit. I like the wide variety of topics within communications and journalism that he covers in the class. Not an easy class, but it was very interesting. Would recommend!

Dr. Neuzil was such a helpful professor in COJO11. He has a lot of experience and connections in the journalism field and is eager to share that with students. There were no tests, just various projects that would exemplify what you would be doing in the real world which is very helpful. He is willing to help and provide feedback, and very caring.

Dr. Mark "News" Neuzil is a king among men, a gentleman and a scholar. He earns the respect of his students like a lion on the Serengeti. If you bring food into his class he will growl and steal it. Anywho, his lessons function less like a college class and more like a stand up comedy routine (albeit spending too much time riffing on airline food.)

I had Dr. Neuzil for an honors seminar called Nature and Spirituality. It was fun taking a class with him that he so clearly was passionate about. I enjoyed hearing about his love for nature and his knowledge about nature writing. Fun guy to chat with.

Mark is challenging but it's a good thing! He and Vandegrift combined classes and I really learned a lot from both of them and they were so much fun! They both have a lot of real world experience and know their stuff. It may be challenging but if you are a print student take advantage of learning from the broadcast students and vice versa.

Very nice guy. Tests are hard, but do the practice quizzes on the book's website and you'll be fine. Easy grader on papers and gets them back to you within 2 classes. He's funny and answers questions really well.

Very knowledgeable professor and goes in depth into notes. Creative in assignments to make them fun. Tests are another story. Very unclear wording and material that was barely touched on used in abbundance. Read the readings very carefully, still a very sketchy tester. Overall pretty good prof.

Good professor, knows his stuff, but he will lecture for an entire 105-minute class without giving students a change to participate.

All around nice guy, very helpful, easygoing. Makes class interesting everyday. Tests are a little tough because of rewording, adding new info. Read the books he gives you, study hard, and he is a great prof to have.

Very nice guy but notes are very back and forth and hard to follow. Tests were pretty much impossible even if you study. They are all reworded to be different from the notes he gives. Papers are fun but tests suck. Could be worse but could be better
