Comment:
Econ 3000/3001 he isn't the right prof for everyone. He has good notes that explain the topics really well, but doesn't post them online. He talks while you are scrambling to copy them so he isn't great if you need to listen. Grade-wise, he's incredibly fair. Even if you don't know the in-depth answer, he'll give points based on what you do know.

We gave online assignments that included things he hadn't taught yet in class and once you start the assignment you can't go back and edit your answer. As a result it was difficult to do well on his assignments.

It seems like he expects students to already have a fair amount of knowledge about the topics before entering the course. The 2 assignments he gave were very hard and had questions about stuff that was not taught in class. The final was pretty fair, but it will take a lot of studying and work to pass the course with a decent mark

He is a nice man, but not a great prof for me. I didn't understand ANYTHING he taught, and I feel he expected us to know more than what was taught. Not overly engaging or interesting, but you can tell he is passionate about his field. The online assignments were so difficult, and class did not prepare me for them. Barely passed the course.

Worst prof i've had at MUN. Explains his handwritten lecture notes WHILE the class is racing to finish copying them down, because he will not post them online. Notes are based on very old version of the textbook. Overcomplicates easy topics, and will never give numerical examples. Horribly boring lectures too.

Dr. Wernerheim made Econ 1010 very difficult. He did not test much on anything so the assignments were worth more than need be. If you skip class you won't miss out on anything. He is extremely boring.

Dr. Wernerheim is such a sweet man! He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is a very fair grader and tries his best to give you marks. However, he doesn't post his notes online so you need to go to class.

Hands down the worst professor I have ever had at memorial. He zooms through the notes, doesn't post them online, doesn't know how to use d2l, and expects you to know concepts not taught and not in the notes/text for the assignments and midterm. Wish i had my time back and avoided this trainwreck of a professor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

the course is excellent. will give a very good insight into the real world. The professor may not be the most animated, but if you follow the course notes (ie. study guide) and take the time to take the course seriously, you can be extremely successful. success in this class, can change your world view. Wernerheim knows his stuff and you learn.

Dr. Wernerheim is a great professor, just not for me I guess. It was either I understood what he taught or I was completely lost. No in between. If you skip class you will fail for he brings his handwritten notes. I passed his course but mainly due to going online and getting some youtube help. Great prof but can be dry and put you to sleep.

Dr. Wernerheim's lectures are very hard to attend. He does not post his notes online, therefore lectures consist of writing out his own notes the entire class and he explains the notes while you're writing them. He recommends to only use his notes and assigned workbook problems for studying. Although he is very open and willing to give extra help.

What a sweet man! I find his notes very clear and easy to follow. The workbook problems he assigns often end up on the tests so if you complete them all you'll find the tests easy.

Dr. Wernerheim is a nice man, but his classes are extremely boring. Although I will say that it is hard to make economics an interesting subject. He is approachable and is willing to help, however, his classes were painfully boring.

Makes a dry subject even more dry. Personally found lectures EXTREMELY boring with absolutely no motivation to attend or participate. Lectures while you are taking notes so it is difficult to listen and get notes copied. Exams are entirely multiple choice with 5 choices(3 of which choices are very similar). Though he is a nice and approachable man.

Wernerheim knows what he is talking about, but explains it in a very boring way that makes his class hard to attend. I didn't feel like I gained anything from his lectures because he doesn't use enough examples. Only gives 2 midterms and a final and they are all multiple choice, with a-e and all similar answers. Tough tests.
