Dr Shchwa is the best! Such a lovely and passionate human. She is a gem, and UBC has been so lucky to have her. Taking her henqeminem class this year was not only highly educational, but super fun, and the end of semester potlucks with the Musqueam community were the highlight.

She is great, totally passionate about her subject, and made lingusitics really interesting. Before I took the course,I thought the subject would be boring, but she made it interesting and relevant to my life. She delivered very clear, well-organized lectures, and if you pay attention, it's easy to get a good grade.

Comment:

She is not very helpful but then again this a university course. It is alot of self study. I think classes should meet more regularly it would make it easier to follow. Marking is fair and she very passionate about her subject. Itimadating instructor but course is worth taking.
