Dr. Fromme is hilarious. She's very entertaining to listen to, and her German accent is definitely understandable after a few lectures. Her exams are very straightforward. If you study, you get an A. Homework is all extra credit. Clicker points make class mandatory, but they're straightforward, too. Recommend.

Do the homeworks and study the practice exams and you are golden. She is very nice and understanding but the class was taught with another professor who was a nightmare! (non cumulative final which was nice)class separates the science majors from the little kids

Practice and homework are exactly like the exams. Very easy professor to do well with. She's good at letting you know what she expects of you. Never even a hint of malice or disrespectful attitude towards her students. Very smart; she recently got published in Nature, has a very successful lab, and is director of a major viral protein project.

Dr. Fromme rocks! She has an accent but she's pretty easy to understand most of the time. Tests are easy as long as you study. 50 students got A+'s on our last exam with her. She is funny, actually cares about the students, and saved us from Dr. Lefler who taught the first half of the semester and retaliated at us over a FIRE ALARM.

Fun professor. It's a difficult topic, but she keeps it relevant and tires to boost interest with current trends, experiments, etc. Very fair with grading. Sincerely concerned about students understanding and success. If you do the homework and practice exams, the exams are not too difficult.

What a great professor! She is smart with a great sense of humor. She also has a german accent so sometime is slightly hard to understand things, but her homework's and practice exams are so thorough that you will not be left wondering about anything. If you study, you will get an A. She carres about her students and will do everything to help out.

Fromme keeps lectures interesting by supplementing the basic material with related anecdotes, recent research findings, and useful tips. The concepts covered in the exams correspond with the main points covered in the lecture materials, i.e. she is very clear about what students should study for. She is also very pleasant and approachable.

Dr. Fromme is a great professor. She actually cares about her students and does a good job at teaching the material. The tests aren't bad if you study and listen to what she says will be on the test. Highly recommended over Prof. Lefler

Comment:

Teaches the second half of Biochemistry. Besides her thick German accent, she is funny and cares about her students. The class atmosphere completely flipped when she came in. I wish she taught the whole semester lecture. Recommend.

Dr. Fromme is one of my favorite professors ever! She has a very thick German accent and it takes time to get used to it. She makes up for it by giving extra credit homework and exam study guides. She will make you laugh, (without trying) during lectures, as she says and does the funniest things. She is a kind hearted person, nice and helpful.

great professor. her accent was hard to understand for first day or two, but then it just added comedy to the lectures. she is very funny and very helpful. lets you know what will be tested and offers plenty of extra credit opportunities. overall a great professor.

She is one of the best professors I have ever met. She is very knowledgeable, patient and helpful to student. Although she has a little bit heavy German accent, but if you do not understand, she is pleased to explain it to you again and again. After several days, you will get used to her accent.

One of the kindest teachers I have had at ASU. Difficult accent but she really does try to make the subject as clear as possible. imagine "see you later alligator" in a thick german accent and tell me you dont want to take this class.

I think Dr. Fromme is a nice lady but you can not understand a word she says. I am a 4.0 student and have taken classes much harder than this but am failing because I can not understand a word she says. It is hard to study for her test because you don't know what she is pointing out in her lectures. Take a different professor if you want to learn.

Her homeworks were great easy points. I loved her tests. I hate multiple-choice tests that try to trick you, so her short answer tests were great for me. I got an A+ on both her tests and had an A+ going into the second half of the class with Lohr, which was AWFUL.

Comment:

Dr. Fromme is one of the nicest professors I've encountered at ASU. She's really great, and she goes out of her way to ensure her students' success! She has an accent, and at times it's hard to comprehend what she's saying, but she acknowledges this and tries to make herself clear. But you'll get used to it =) Overall, Dr. Fromme is wonderful.
