Chama is a great professor! He doesn't give out any homework (except one assignment at the end of 101) but you need to study to do well. He gives opportunity for extra credit with every quiz, so study fairly hard and you'll rock the class. He's hilarious and really cares about his students. I highly recommend him!

Where do I even begin? Senior Chama is an incredible man, and I highly recommend him as a Spanish instructor. He cares a great deal about his students excelling at Spanish, and uses an incredibly effective mix of textbook use, immersion, tests, and slideshows to make sure it's comprehensible. He makes his own books and audio tapes for the library!

Chama is great. He's a total goof-ball & I love him. But his class takes a lot of dedication. 2 tests a week, (only 12 questions, but you never know exactly what will be on them) Attendance is mandatory & so is class participation. He's amazing though, one of my favorite teachers by far! (:

He likes to be the center of attention. He only speaks english the quarter, which doesn't help the learning process at all. And he has favorites, really poor favorites. He grades off participation points, but you only get those if you are.. a favorite. Would much rather take ASL over his class anyday.

Mr. Chama is by far the best professor I have had hear at YVCC. He actually cares about how students are doing in the class. I can't think of one day that I didn't laugh so much in class. Most importantly the class book is only $25 so CHEAP. Best ever!!
