Professor Hagin was probably the best professor I have ever had. He taught me not only to write better, but to communicate and argue effectively. If you ever find him teaching again, even if it is at another school, take him. You will not regret it. He really takes the time to work with you and make sure you know what you need to do.

He gives you everything he ask of you online nearly organized. He is very thorough grader but tells you exactly what you will be graded on for each assignment. If you bring your paper to him and ask for help he will make sure you get an A on the paper.

Very, very longwinded. Extremely slow in grading and passing back papers, which are alot(8-10) in a 1st level ENG class.Pushes back due dates. However, is very helpful & insightful if you come to him outside of class. Doesn't really teach out oany textbook....which could be detrimental down the road in your later Eng classes.

I absolutely LOVE this professor! He is NOT an easy grader, but it really does help. You do have to work hard. But if you ask his for help, he is more than happy to tell you exactly what he wants. Attendance is very mandatory, but if you show up, it pays off in the end. I will definately be taking him again and recommend that others do too!

slow about returning papers in which you have at least 8 that's due during the semester. longwinded and gives sarcastic retorts in a passive aggressive manner when you ask a question. do not take him! you won't learn a think in his class..

mr. hagin is a nice guy to get your help in ur subject. he is always willing to give anything extra that students might need. he replies his emails pretty fast answers any query that has been asked although he gets picky sometimes but that is actually good for the students as we can get focused for what he is actually asking for.

This professor is probably the most arrogant man I have ever met. His assignments are not only pointless, but difficult at that. He takes weeks to grade papers and assigns roughly 6-9 papers per semester. I am not one of the students who failed his class and is writing a horrible response. I made a solid B and nearly hated the class. Do not take!

Worst class I've ever had in my entire life. There is an extreme amount of reading about ancient Sumeria, Egypt, and East Asia. His tests are ridiculous because you have to cite the page numbers of the text you are referring to on his essay questions. AVOID this class like the plague.

VERY HARD! if you are a slacker or procrastinate at all, do NOT take him. he will make you a better writer, but you have to be willing to become one. he is very opinionated and is hard to see eye to eye with. i worked hard and only made a C. also, attendance is mandatory, he makes you feel like a failure if you miss a class.

Requires a lot of reading. Weekly quizzes (open note but it won't do you much good b/c he covers the material AFTER you take the quiz). Wrote his own book that YOU have to print yourself on your printer- a waste of $ for ink. He's offensive. Likes to intimidate his students. A disgrace to KSU.

AWESOME teacher. Picks stories that are interesting and is really willing to help struggling students. Very approachable and makes time available. 3 tests and a final and weekly quizzes. He curves all the tests plus they are open book and open note. Definantly would recommend him!

EVERYTHING you need to know to succeed is in the notes on his website and his free course packet. Only way to fail is by not reading or by responding to every question with "Jesus is the answer." Take World History first so you get a contextual understanding of the stories; it helps a LOT on the weekly quizzes and monthly tests.

I have read all of the reviews and honestly, I think HE'S writing the good ones. He is offensive and arrogant. He requires a massive amount of work and grades based on what he wants to hear. I even used his own words in a paper & he marked it wrong. Extremely picky. Lectures the entire class and it is a waste of time. Ridiculous man- Avoid him!!!

He obviously doesn't care that you have other classes. He assigns paper probably one after the other. I have other classes that require the same amount of priority, but that doesn't matter: I have to work on my paper. If you love not sleeping, go for it.

Great teacher and quite possibly the most helpful teacher I've ever had even through grade school. His papers require a lot of critical thinking. You can miss up to 5 days in the class or else you fail (it is a law for all english classes now) Overall, I made a B and was very pleased.
