Comment:

I had Dr. Harris in spring 2016 instead of Keth who usually teaches it. It was sprung on him at the last moment so he seemed a bit unprepared (understandably). His tests are based completely off the power point are very straight-forward. Recopy the power point slides and do the extra credit (there's a ton) and you should get your A.

I had him for lab. Every assignment and quiz that he returned which he marked wrong, he did not write good feedback. He wouldn't tell me why I got it wrong or which one was the correct answer, Also he has horrible hearing so you have to repeat what you said multiple times to understand what he said.

Dr. Steve Harris is like a goofy uncle. The nice thing about his class is that you really didn't need to use the book. He taught everything through PowerPoint presentations to the class, meaning you had to be in class. The class wasn't really difficult for being biology, but many people had a difficult time achieving an A. I would have him again.

Great Biology Professor! Very knowledgeable and helpful. He is laid back and treats students as equals. Explains concepts in a way easy for everyone to understand. He seemed bored in lab and unhappy with Biol 156 material not pertaining to lab. Lots of studying the lab manual all week to pass quizzes. I look forward to lectures from him.

Dr. Harris was awesome! He made me laugh everyday and I really learned a lot. He is very interesting to listen to and he doesn't make you feel stupid if you ask him a question! He is amazing and I'm really excited that he is teaching one of my classes next semester!

Best part of this class is attendance doesn't count for a grade. But showing up does make the tests easier. He's willing to work with you, even if you have to miss a test. Offers a lot of bonus assignments so DO them. It will help your grade at the end.

He is someone who is very passionate about what he teaches, but it's sort of clear he hasn't quite figured out how to teach it. Compared to teachers who chunk their lectures, Harris will give a list of information you need to go home and teach yourself. He'd run over it quickly, but you definitely need to put some work into the class.

Great guy! Amazing professor! He really makes class fun! He is willing to help as much as possible just go visit him during office hours. One of the few professors I have had who is ALWAYS in his office during the posted hours.
