He writes his own textbook for the class and knows it front to back, very useful class and very helpful guy. Great to listen to and you will learn a lot. His class is hard. If you don't try, you won't get a good grade. Would recommend.

Comment:

Took his online mobile app course. You only have to come to campus for exams. His lectures can be confusing but you can rewatch them as many times as you want since he posts them online. The homework can be difficult since you have to figure things out on your own, but he's lenient with due dates. Exams are quite difficult so study a lot.

Comment:

Probably the best professor in the department. His classes are focused on the theories of computer science and he really knows what he is teaching. He is always ready to go over anything you didn't understand during his office hours. Many of his classes are characterized by either frequent homework and/or quizzes. CS435 had a quiz every class.

Tim Greg is the best teacher ever, Winona State Computer Science faculty don;t deserve him, he's too good for them. He cares for every student, and you can spend the whole day at his office if you find any material difficult. such a helpful and vastly knowledgeable teacher.

VERY difficult subject but a great prof teaching the class. There are 4 tests & a final & t gegg let's you drop your lowest grade. I wish more things were graded since the class is so difficult. T gegg is very helpful & goes over the tests and answers questions at the start of class about the previous section before starting a new on section.

Tim is a great professor, he covers some very hard concepts that makes your brain bend and twist, but he will answer anything for you that you need, and it was very enjoyable taking his class. Overall If you study well and learn the material you can get an A in the class, I worked very hard, if you don't study then good luck as the material is hard

He is a really good prof that knows what he is talking about. His classes are by far not easy but if you understand the problem once they turn into the easiest class. He helps you undertanding this class and you can also always see him during office hours. I really like him. He uses an iBook as textbook (free) and uses it.

Very helpful in and out of class. Responds quickly to emails. Friendly,understanding, and approachable. Wants to make sure his students understand the material. Spends time in class going over tests and quizzes so you know what you did wrong. Good sense of humor.

He's really nice & helpful during class, office hours, and email. Do the hw, read the book, do the prac. questions at the ends of the ch, & know the notes. if you don't understand, he'll help! If you do, you'll do fine on the tests and hw. not an easy class to pass w/o studying/ understanding. don't procrastinate w/ the hw or reading. go to class.

Very helpful teacher. Best professor I've had so far. If you pay attention during lectures and read the textbook you should be fine. Likes to talk about politics and basketball or a few minutes before class. Highly recommended
