Dr. Holley was so sweet when it came to class. I had her online for my Intro to Speech class, and she was always willing to meet with students online or in her office. She gives really great feedback, and makes Speech easy to understand, and makes it less anxiety filled. If you get the chance to take her online speech class, DO IT!

The assignments are pretty easy. But the tests can be very tricky and difficult. She's a tough grader and isn't clear on her instructions.

This class was horrible. Dr. Holley was very unorganized and contradicted her self a lot. Her grading was not consistent at all. She never response to emails in a timely manner. She was never in her office even during posted office hours. Her test were very difficult even with a cheat sheet. I absolutely hated this class and the professor.

Comment:

Dr. Holley is amazing. She is extremely funny and a fantastic professor. Her tests are kind of difficult, but she does curve if the grades are low enough which is very nice. As long as you're willing to try, you'll get the grades you deserve.

All I can say is that her midterm and final tests are VERY hard that is why I got a C!!!!! The speeches are pretty easy to get a A on. Not much homework to do. You have to show up to class on speech days or she will count off. Never used the text book.

do not get the book wait because we never used it. pretty easy never got anything above or below a b on the speeches but other assignments are super easy we took a count em 1, single quiz before she stopped giving them to us. talks about corgis alot and cancelled class a few times so decent choice for speech

Speech class is good Dr Holley has a lot of awesome videos and stuff to watch and identify clear speech processes. Her exams are based on scenarios and you have to understand the materials to get the questions right. Good professor overall.

The majority of class time is used for students to present speeches, and the speeches are pretty back to back. She tells you exactly what she is looking for so as long as you follow her criteria it'll show on her rubric. Very straightforward class. She doesn't take attendance but it helps to watch others present and learn from them.

Took this class during the summer and was really dreading it. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed it. She cares about her students and enjoys her job!

The BEST online class I have ever taken. Dr. Holley made her blackboard page fun and easy to follow. All of her assignments had clear grading criteria, and she returned grades very quickly. One of the best professors I have had at Tarleton.

We had four speeches (2 informative and 2 persuasive) If you show up and follow her outline it's an easy A. If there is speeches and it isn't your day to give one then you don't have to show up.

She's very quirky and sometimes goes off on tangents, but over all she teaches public speaking well. For most of the speeches, she grades on the spot which was pretty cool considering most teachers take at least a week. Overall, very nice, funny, and helpful. Small obsession with Corgis.

In order to succeed in this course you must follow the set speech pattern. a lot of the material on tests and quizzes are not covered in class. You must engage her in person! Be flexible as the class is often relatively disorganized. She is very intelligent and knowledgeable, you just have to stay on top of what ever she wants at the time.

Super easy class. Don't bother buying the book we never used it. Only had to give two speeches and as long as you follow her format you will pass them both. Read her units online and you will pass the tests although they don't really follow what she says will be on them.
