Wendy is the best! She can be hard at time, but if you're persistent (which all film students must be anyway) she is the most motivating teacher I've had. She's clear with what you need to improve on, but she also will let you know what you've done well and how to grow in your film making.

Wendy is an awesome teacher. I'm glad that I got put into her class. Clear in expectations, and no bull in her class. Challenges you, and doesn't take quitting easily - if you can take her class, do it! you won't have regrets, but don't expect to be handed your A

Wendy may be a good teacher, but never go to her for individual help. She will usually give you a suggestion that's unfeasible and unrealistic, and definitely mark you down later if you didn't follow her advice. It doesn't matter how terrible or great your movie is- your grade is based on the way you defend your movie after you screen it in class

Comment:

Super friendly & nice, with a great sense of humor. Knows her stuff. Her critiques were always spot on. She will push you to excel, but she'll never be too harsh. Understands the limitations and time constraints. Sympathetic to the students' difficulties. Her only downside is that she sometimes belabors the point & lingers 2 long on basic concepts. Attendance is very important.

Hottest teacher I've ever had. OK as a teacher; fairly helpful in class but very absent out of it. Easy, easy, easy grading. I put together five awful projects because I was a poor filmmaker and still got an A.

I'm rating Wendy on how I feel about her as an Alum. While I had her as a teacher, I loved her. She treated me like the sun, the moon and the stars and totally encouraged me. As soon as I was out of her class she forgot I existed. Two-faced, IMHO.

Comment:

Wendy is one of the only people at NYU whose opinon of my work I trust 100%. She believed in me when no one would have, and gave me a big chance in supporting my Advanced project. Take a class with Wendy her criticism is worth it!

Wendy's very cool. The class is awesome and definetely one of those classes that you get out what you put in. Feel free to experiment but always, ALWAYS have an explanation for every shot you shoot. Wendy's particular about this. Cool class.
