She somehow made mythology incredibly boring for me. She mis-pronounces words and says "umm" a lot, both of which are quite distracting! Exams are easy and she is quite knowledgeable.

She is unclear at times, and fumbles a lot as well. The content was decent and the midterms weren't to difficult; final was a piece of cake. She says textbook is needed and should be read, but I never did and did fairly well in the course.

Professor is nice, but sometimes unclear. She does hmm and umm a lot, which can make a lecture even more tedious then normal. But overall she seemed very professional and knowledgable about the topic (Mythology)

Prof. Welch is a good lecturer and very helpful towards her students. The amount of memorization required for this course, however, is monumental. For the final, I studied over 40 pages of typed notes and a list of 107 dates (she's very big on dates).

I have no idea why people like this class or this prof. CLAS 225 was HORRIBLE! The lectures were soooo boring, she is horrible at explaining things, always seems to have lost her place, and she always seems to be in a bad mood. She is NOT helpful in regards to material on the tests, basically anything and everything is on it. Too much memorization

Very nice and helpful. Had her for 251 & 225. Very fair! First test for 225 was easy, 2nd not so much. 251 midterm was more general than specific (this helped). Cares for students and wants to know if they understand the material. Simply loved her.

If you can memorize, then you can do great in this course. Interesting material. She used a lot of powerpoint pres. which helped in the note taking. However, I found her to be very strict and unhelpful. She will not bend whatsoever on exam dates, even with extenuating circumstances.

i actually loved this class. she says 'ummm' a lot but she's really the sweetest prof if you even get to talk to her outside of class. a lot of material, but exams are extremely easy if you went to class and briefly look over your notes. reading the literature not necessary.

My hand always hurts from writing after this class. She speaks too fast. Covers lots of material. Very knowledgable and always prepared. Art&Arch is an awesome class. Learned so much!

She does a good job in covering a vast amount of topics in such a limited time. I can see why some ppl think its too much memorization though. Personally i think you will enjoy this class if you enjoy the subject first and foremost. (i never read the book nor studied and did ok)

very helpful prof when you ask for her help. her exams are insane though. there is just too much memorization in this class specifically. They're also too demanding with their multiple parts in so little time. but i like her if not her class.
