Dr. Forbes is a nice professor who is truly interested in the material he is teaching. The class was overall easy including writing assignments that were opinion based on social justice topics covered in class discussions and readings. I walked away from his class with a good grade and a different view on social justice topics

Class is fairly interesting, although MC comes form the book. Essays are from class discussions and handouts/movies. He likes to do movie clips/class things rather than lecture. Not terribly difficult, you just have to outline chapters for the tests. Gives essay question study guides. Probably the best choice for MN 325

This was my 2nd time taking him. MUCH easier. A lot of handouts to read but goes over everything you need to know. No quizzes. 1 Midterm & 1 Final. No multiple choice. Only essays. One group book revie. An outdoor activity day that was fun. 1 big 15 page paper but it is easy. Just write about yourself. I would definitely take him again!

Im an A student who got a B+. Class consisted of a lot of handouts. He doesn't really use the book that much, but yet the MC on the tests are all suppose to be from the book. There are usually 3 essays on the test which are fairly easy, but the MC killed me. Felt that there were several questions that had multiple answers. Attendance isn't mandator

Dr. Forbes was an excellent management teacher. He has great movies to go along with the lectures. His tests are directly from class lectures. Good notes are all you need to do well. Class participation is key!

Dr. Forbes is one of the most qualified professors at JCU. His course load was a bit demanding for FYS..but it's not simply busy work, he really tries to prepare you for higher level classes.
