RUN... I am not kidding. Lacks aptitude for teaching, over-complicate subjects, and has no empathy for anyone at least in the classroom. AVOID HIM, skip a semester if necessary.

This has been one of the worst classes I have taken at USF. He does not collect homework so you have no idea if you are understanding the material. He does not give you answers to most practice problems. You are graded on 3 exams and nothing else. I went to office hours for homework assistance and he was no help and made me more confused.

Awful professor, coming from a straight "A" student who received a "D". What he teaches is one thing, what's on the test is another. More than half of the class failed the first exam. No exam reviews and he doesn't give answers to most practice problems. He keeps over-complicating each topic until no one gets it, then moves on to the next.

Hunter knows what he is talking about and would probably make an excellent tutor or researcher, but he is a terrible lecturer. I had a very hard time following along and as someone who has an undergrad in the same subject I can tell you he over complicates everything. He also rambles and has an accent; be prepared to teach yourself.

Dr. Hunter knows so much about international finance. He has been doing this for a long time and you will learn many valuable things from him that are not in a textbook. My advice, don't take notes and pay full attention to him. Exams are difficult but you can get an A as he usually gives 3 bonus questions. I would recommend him.

He spends so much time talking about the technical components of finance calculations that basic concepts of investments are missed by students. The material is covered in the text and reading is a definite need to understand his course, but alot of study time also needs alotted to problem solving.

What can I say they call this professor "The Hunter" for a reason. Class is difficult compounded by a compressed schedule. If you have a GPA that can take a hit and still be strong, I'd say take the class. The information in it relates directly to the hedge fund world. You will benefit from reading the book before the semester begins.

His class setup is very traditional: 3 tests, go over material before class, or suffer the consequences of not being responsible. Despite the lower ratings, he is actually a good teacher. You just need to pay attention and ask questions on things that confuse you. Accent is thick, but not bad.

Everything you hear about him is true, I wish that I had listened. He is very knowledgeable about International Finance, but is very bad at teaching it. The problems in the book, did not match up with the questions he used for the test. Do not put your GPA at risk with this Prof. Completely unrealistic of his expectation of his students.

Some students dropped this class. His tests are hard, long and extremely difficult (120 points). His tests are not fair and cover a lot of obscure material not relevant to the investment world. He lets you use a formula sheet but he tests theory too. I will forever regret taking this class with him. His assigned problems are easier than in exam.

There is no doubt Hunter is bright, but his techniques as a prof are lacking. He wants to get thru an entire text in 12 weeks and that isnt possible. He is very bland with no sense of humor. I would rate his concern for students as very low. Class will never leave early and you'll never be given the benefit of the doubt on any grading.

You'll need to get used to his Jamaican accent. Very bright. But very loud; don't sit near the front unless you want to lose your hearing. Has a wry sense of humor. Knows more than he could ever teach you in one semester.
