Sociology of Terrorism was a fun class. Lectures are a combination of him talking about terrorism and him sharing life stories about what a BAMF he is. Your grade is entirely the midterm and final, and each question is 1% of your grade. Just cram for the exams the night before and you will get an A. Fun and informative class without much work.

To me it was a standard "memorization" class, nothing special. During lecture he just recited common-sense information from books or websites. I found him to be very arrogant, despite offering no real insight. I was content with the easy A, but not impressed at all with his teaching.

Daddio is the Man! Great lecturer and captivates his audience. Everyone should take at least one of his courses! To get an A you need to show up to class (except you can miss up to 5 without consequences), pay attention to his lectures (no facebook), talk with him during office hours, and study his studyguides before the midterm and final.

Great professor. I don't really like the subject but when you find a professor like him it's definitely worth taking the class.

TAKE DADDIO! It doesn't matter what class or if you are even extremely interested beforehand. He is such a great professor that you will come away really enjoying the semester. Very straightforward. Do the optional essay, it will only help! ;)

I loved Transnational Crime: a really well-designed and juicy course! Daddio has numerous stories to tell with his wealth of experience in the police force and it is absolutely worthwhile to invest the time and get to know him in office hours. Multiple choice exams reasonable (but annotation is the name of the game) and write the optional paper.

Daddio is the man! Absolutely loved his class; if you go to class and take notes, the class (death and dying) is very easy. Be sure to annotate in the exams. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! AWESOME PROFESSOR!

He is a true mentor inside and outside of the classroom. His real world life experience brings so much to more to the lessons you learn and the stories that are told. One of the best professors I have ever had.

The man is great. But I think to get an A you really have to have taken him for more than one semester and buddied up with him. The people that have taken him for 2 or 3 semesters always get A's no matter what they put on the exams. He tells great stories but his classes are a bit dry.

I think if you do the optional paper, he automatically gives you an A on it regardless of the quality. Just pay attention during class, take notes, and cram the night before and you should be fine. Also, annotate.

Best professor in the sociology department. Just make sure you go to each class and take good notes. You don't have to do the reading. Just skim it before the test and know the main concepts. For the tests, memorize your notes and ANNOTATE. Don't know how he grades the optional paper, but I think he's pretty nice about it.

An easy A if you know your notes from his lectures. It's not necessary to attend every lecture as long as you have a friend. Sometimes the class is a little dry and it's annoying to have to be constantly scribbling notes, but all in all it turned out to be a good/interesting class.

I expected him to be great from everything that I'd heard and wasn't overly impressed. A nice man but most classes are just him telling stories about himself. I learned a little, fairly interesting. Easy class if you take good notes. Go to every class and write down exactly what he says. I didn't do any readings or the optional paper and got an A.

Professor Daddio is by FAR the best professor at Georgetown. If you get to know him, he will go out of his way to help you out or get you a job. His classes are interesting and not overly academic. He will sign you in off of the wait-list if you ask him personally.

Top professor. Hilarious, informative lectures. Who else would spend the first twenty minutes of class typing Area 51 into GoogleMap? Tests are tricky--at least browse the beginning and end of each book chapter. Gets to know students personally, although this toes the line of old boys' club...

I disagree with the poster before me. I didn't do the paper and managed an A in the class despite what I also saw as a very difficult final. Trick is to annotate and to really know the lecture notes. The best class I've taken at Georgetown, highly recommend. Only class I never skipped because I was that compelled to attend. Daddio is great!

Terrorism final was super duper hard. I read everything twice. If you don't do the extra credit paper, the best you can get is an A-.
