Read the textbook. Study very hard because all three tests are designed to make you think. No homework, really, and he does have a knack for making lectures interesting. Also, you can't get away with missing too much class time, but it's not hard to be there.

When the class first started I thought he was full of himself and his own personal experiences, but as time went on I realized that is just the way he conveyed to us on practical level that most of the concepts taught in this class could be applicable to everyday life. He is so down to earth he even shares how poorly he did as an undergrad himself.

Dr. Ruud is the man. He is highly intelligent and takes great passion in the subject at hand. He pushes you, and really wants you to maximize your potential. Even if material may get stale from time to time, his attitude and personality make it a lot more bearable. You will learn a lot from his stories and curriculum in which he teaches. TAKE HIM!

A really good professor. Manages to keep the class interesting with personal stories and occasional jokes. I didn't really like going, but looking back, I probably wouldn't have taken any other professor for this class. 2 exams, 2 group presentations, and an essay. Easy class, good professor.

Dr. Ruud is an excellent professor in every class he teaches. He is verbose but interesting and funny. He's also very accessible. I highly recommend qualitative research for graduates regardless of type of thesis, comps, or project you're working on to graduate.

I had Dr. Ruud for two classes. He talks a lot and will comment on everything students say. His test are easy, but you must read the book. Overall, a good teacher and easy grader. I think he really want to see you put forth an effort.

He really came thru. He is tough as he should be, but a sweet and helpful man. I adore him, and he is great to chat with in his office too. Also, his assignments are distributed at a very reasonable pace.
