TBH I thought it was one of those cases where the ratings were written out of spite because the professor didn't give a good grade. HOWEVER, I can now say he DOES NOT really tell you what he wants. He just says during any exam "Write as you see fit" and i'm like thankss cause that helps a bunch. Honestly he was my last resort. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE !!!

Basically the worst professor I ever could have imagined. Learned almost nothing that I did not each myself. Such a lazy teacher he just reads from his scrap paper in a very low tone that no one can hear or understand. No matter how many correct answers you put on a test, you will never get an A. Do not take this professor if you want fair grades.

If you can, transfer to a better prof. Hes an understanding guy, but you need to teach yourself. Get the class outlines and statistics but study from the textbook. Each part of the test outline is an essay option so just pick 3 to learn (4 for the final), BUT learn extra from the respective chapter cause he always includes an extra term or two.

His lectures are a little bit monotonous. He has 3 tests, first two are worth 30% of a grade and the last one is worth 40%. He doesn't give extra credits. The tests are essay based questions that he usually gives on the review. You need to teach yourself this class and come prepared for 3/4 essays. See him durring office hourse once after the test.

Everyone on here is being dramatic. Sure, he pretty much teaches you nothing during class except how to put students to sleep. Though, all you have to do is read the textbook outside of class. During class, feel free to watch Netflix because it's not like you're gonna learn something (fine by me). Just study your textbook and you'll get an A.

Malinowski is extremely boring and slow. His lectures are a small part of information and a large part of personal tangents. you can get super specific and mention and explain all details on your short essay tests but you will still not get an A. would not take again

Comment:
This professor is easily distracted. He talks about his personal life a lot, not in a way that it relates to psychology but just to talk. I had him at 9:05 and I would fall asleep all the time, plus he would whisper to himself. There are three exams all essays and just know he is a hard grader. Don't take this class.

He doesn't take attendance or use a textbook which is a plus, but his lectures are absolutely awful and doesn't teach you anything through the semester. He gives you the info that will be on the test ahead of time but his grading criteria is unclear and even if you write all of the notes in the test he still won't give you a good grade. Avoid him

Dr Malinowski writes outline on the board and then goes on explaining his points. He rarely answers students questions and some time makes not very appropriate comments. 3 exams in total consisting of essay questions based on textbook. His grading criteria is not the best.

I used to stand outside of this classroom, wondering if I could get away with jumping off the building instead. He lectures about his personal life, sometimes throwing in a random fact about psychology. He outlines his lecture on the board but then defines nothing - just show up, write down the outline, and read yourself. My worst grade @ St John's

Syllabus was one page that told us the chapters we would cover and that's about it. Did not have a clear grading rubric for anything, and comments on tests were illegible words sporadically placed throughout. If you answered test questions based on what he said in lecture, you still wouldn't get an A. Do not take.

He was the worst. Literally just spends the entire class rambling and goes on a lot of tangents about his personal life. He made many of the girls in our class feel uncomfortable with his comments. If you take him, only show up on days before tests to get the review terms and then read the textbook.

I do not recommend this class - you will learn little from him. How to succeed (asterisk importance): 1. See him outside of class once*** 2. Follow in text book as he talks 3. Note the specific cases/experiments he mentions** 4. Study MORE than what he outlines for tests - THERE WILL BE MORE - usually he'll ask for the solution to probs***

After my first class with him, I wanted to change classes. I stayed, however. Believe me when I say he goes off on a tangent every single class. The textbook will become your best friend but luckily it's interesting. He's a fair grader and a kind man so you'll be fine if you get stuck with him.

He is a funny guy and gives 3 tests per semester. But the final is not cumulative. He writes an outline on the board every class, pretty much that is all you need for the lecture, but you need to go back and read in the textbook and follow the outline. Easy grader and is there if you need help.

His lectures are long and terribly boring. He goes off on a lot of tangents. Make sure to read the textbook before the tests. You can skip if you want but go the class before a test because he gives a review. Only 3 tests, all essay format. Avoid if possible.

Hes an easy B+ without that much effort. 3 tests and basically you only need to show up for that because his lectures dont teach you anything and its just an outline on the board and he rambles about his life for 1:30 mins. His jokes make no sense, you can hear a pin drop in that class. He cancels class a lot though.

Attendance isn't mandatory but he will notice if you're not there continuously. BE ON TIME. He will call you out... and give little annoying lectures about how you have to be on time. He writes an outline on the board and that's about it. You have to listen to him in order to get more information which is difficult considering he goes on tangents.

Do not take him!!! He talks about random stuff during the whole class and writes an outline on the board of things he does not actually go over. IF you are going to take him. Just learn the stuff on the "review" he puts on the board before the exam. Those are usually what the test questions are about.
