I found Eva to be incredibly understanding and supportive with all my accessibility concerns as well as my actual artwork. I didn't love some of the assignments but that is to be expected in a first year general studio course. She definitely doesn't give out many As but it is difficult to do badly if you make the effort.

I love every day of this class. There is great opportunity to learn about many of the basics of fine art. The projects are interesting and the mediums used varied. The professor is extremely positive and upbeat, has a solid knowledge in all areas, and comes to class prepared to impart that knowledge. Go to class and hand your work in on time.

Although she's a nice prof, she talks way longer than necessary and class can get extremely boring. She doesn't acknowledge that fine 100 and fine 225 are two different classes. She teaches the exact same material and makes you buy unnecessary materials for the course. She also does not realize that we have other classes.

Great prof! Very Helpful and genuinely cares about her students if you show an interest in art. Hand your work in on time and go to class, and you should get a decent mark.

Great course, if you put effort into your paintings, go to class and pay attention to the instructions you will learn a lot and see a big improvement in your painting knowledge and skills. eva was a good teacher, she spent a few lesson too many on colour slides but other than that was great.

She's very nice and tries to help all her students out with their problems. However, she's very disorganized. Make sure you know where all your projects are and never throw anything out in case she wants to see it again! As long as you put effort in your work you'll do fine. And go to class!

Eva's painting course was a heavy work load, BUT that's the only way you're going to see a change in your artwork. A couple students complained about the projects, saying that they were useless/waste of paint & time but i disagree, they all taught you a lot. She's always there to answer any questions you have, very helpful.

She is an O.K. Prof. She's genuinely nice and pretty open if you don't make the project in on time. She has a downfall of talking WAY too much in class explaining projects, and she constantly adds to the art kit lists so you spend a lot extra. She issues some useless tints/tones projects that just waste paint, and changes deadlines constantly.

TERRIBLE prof. Learned more from the technician. Didn't allow students to experiment with new techniques because she was clearly lacking in her own abilities. I went into this thinking I would learn something new and was met with a roadblock everytime. You'll lose your money, sanity and enthusiasm for printmaking.

Nice enough, but soon gets on the nerves. Changes her mind about projects up till the last minute. Talks way to much and isn't very clear when explaining. Does exhibit favoritism and is not very helpful when asked. Had such an bad experience that I would not take a class just because she was teaching it.

VERY disorganized, gives us new contradicting papers everyday, HUGE HOMEWORK LOAD - she talks to much in class so then its homework. Pricey kit, but she expects you to buy more and more every class. unclear on her expectations, biased toward impressionist abstract art. lectures students infront of class, forces matters of personal opinion on studen

Excellent teacher. She encourages students to explore techniques and themes, pushing ideas as far as the can go. No "precious" art work here. A good listener and advisor. She makes a technically demanding subject (printmaking) accessible and inspirational. I've enjoyed 2 terms with her and am starting a 3rd.

Easier to obtain a high mark if you're naturally less artistic and just trying hard. My art was used as an example to illustrate proper technique on a regular basis and I received the second lowest mark in the class. Art kit IS expensive but worth it.

Poor instructor quality, blind favoritizm to representational art, learned more from assistances. Classes generally a waste of time even though the course media was quite intersting. VERY expensive:$350 for art kit + additional paper and final project

Some of the best art I've created was in this class. Yet she was no help at explaining concepts. Encouraging when/if she liked you. Odd odour. Dreaded going to class.
