Dr. Caballero was one of my favorite professors. The class isn't easy, but if you do your homework and actually show up for class, you'll be set. He's a very sweet man, and you can always go see him during his office hours if you need help.

Comment:

Dr. Caballero has to be one of the worst professors at WU. He is not clear in his instructions and goes extremely fast even when no one understands. I do not believe the course is supposed to be difficult, but he made it so. If it is possible to avoid him, DO IT. You will save yourself a lot of headaches, and a lot of wasted time.

Not helpful, taught way above what we were suppose to learn for the class. The tests were much more difficult then they should've been. Couldn't tell what he was 'teaching' at all. Retook this class and made an A with another professor. DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSE WITH HIM.

I advise you NOT to take his class! He is really hard to understand and he doesn't help much during class, he doesn't understand the questions you ask when you need help and when he gives sample questions he doesn't go over how to do it he just gives you the answer. He makes the class really hard and frustrating. AVOID his class!

Dr. Caballero is really hard to understand. Instead of covering one section per class period and giving good examples, he rushes through a lot of stuff and just rattles off a bunch of formulas that he expects you to memorize. Try to get another professor if at all possible.

The material is really hard and he teaches really fast. So if you're not good at catching on to math really fast you may wanna take somebody else, or take it at a tech school. He doesn't really give you a chance to ask questions about the material. And if you do end up taking him the MATH LAB and the ASC will be your best friend.

Do not take him if you do not have to. It is very difficult to understand what he is saying and he doesn't explain things very well. I did the homework and basically taught myself all of the material. He had tons of material on the study guide that never saw the light of day on his exams.

Dr. C is a nice guy, however the class is not. If you HAVE to take him, seek tutorial assistance soon. On the final exam there were questions about concepts that he did not teach at all. His test are difficult but his study guide will kind of give you an idea of what to expect. Study hard and seek help.

He is the least helpful teacher I have ever had. I took the equivalent to MATH 150 at York Tech and it would not transfer, so I had to retake at Winthrop. If I had not already had some grasp on the material, I would have never passed. I had to turn my brain off when I went to class so I wouldn't "un-learn" the material.

OMG! Please to do not go for this professor for Math 150! Almost everyone in our class failed the first two tests and everyone has a hard time understanding him. He doesn't teach you in a step by step process. If you are not good in math like me, then you will have a difficult time with this professor.

Caballero is a nice guy. He knows his stuff, but doesn't explain it all that well. Go to class or you will be lost!At first it was hard to understand his English, but it gets better. Visiting the math lab a lot is a must.
