He is one of the best professors at Northeastern University,but he is by no means easy. If you put the work into the class then you will do just fine. Visit his office hours and he will think very highly of you. Highly recommend if you want to actually be challenged and learn accounting in a fun and exciting way.

He taught the most difficult class I took at WSU! Here's the key: Visit him during office hours. Do this and he will become your greatest ally on campus and help you with his course indefinitely. I would recommend taking Charlie's classes for the intense learning experience, but be forewarned that they will require your effort completely.

Anybody who says Charlie is too hard was not willing to go out and do the work themselves.If they felt he was vague, then they are not ready for the rea world where tasks are not always drawn out for you in bullet point format. Sometimes you have to draw your own inferences and conclusions.He rocks.

Good guy. Lectures were reasonably clear and anytime someone had a question he explained further. Ended up dropping Frakes, this guy is much better.

Charlie is a great guy but a not so great teacher. Although he actually makes accounting entertaining, he goes off onto his own curriculum compared with the rest of the university. His lectures seem to have nothing to do with his tests, which are horrible

Spends far too much time bragging about himself instead of teaching. Exams are ridiculous and Disassociated from his lectures. His audit project requirements are too vague and serve a weak purpose to teaching students about the nuts & bolts of auditing.
