There's quite a bit of reading involved in this class, but Prof Kennedy will spend most of her time in class summarizing it for you, and the last twenty minutes talking about what she actually wanted to discuss for the day. She's very enthusiastic and kind, but seems to almost dumb the material down.

Comment:

I really wanted to like Colleen. I really, really did. But she's just too disorganized. She can be a sweetheart and an easy grader, but tries too hard to be funny. There was no reason to be required to take this class. She knew the lit parts well, but not at all the history or philosophy. The best thing she can do is throw a well-catered event.

COLLEEN is awesome! she is so nice and funny and adorable. I have her for my freshman seminar and I'm so glad I ended up in her film 150W section. She is great!!

She is so nice and approachable. Classes are interesting, and she picks really good books. She is very open to new ideas and she can be funny. I have nothing negative to say about her, she is fantastic.

I'm sure Colleen is a great English teacher, but don't take a film class with her. She teaches as though she knows almost NOTHING about film, and doesn't TEACH you, and instead just lets the class flounder about on its own. Very easy, treats you like you're stupid, but if looking for an easy A, go for it.

I had her for my freshman seminar and I loved it. She's a very fun, smart professor. Class was consistently interesting. She really improved my writing (she gives a lot of feedback on papers). I definitely recommend her to anyone considering taking her class.

I love this woman so much. She guides you through really tough (but really intersting)readings, but doesn't do so in a spoonfeeding kind of way. Very laid back class. And she brings candy a lot!

Great lecturer, very enthusiastic. She obviously loves what she does, and therefore made had me appreciate the few books I hated. One tip- read all the theory stuff, as though it is long and confusing it is important for all the assignments.
