Comment:
Colleen started out great, but at the end I was not a fan... She does not make sense and does not teach the last chapter of the course making the final super hard. A lot of people failed the final exam. She was also not very caring or understanding when I had a personal issue and could not attend class.

Comment:
Colleen is a very sweet person. She has an unconventional teaching style which is exactly what university students should be exposed to at least once. She connects Psych with important real-life topics and is extremely interactive with students. She places emphasis on student opinions rather than lecturing. Take her class with an open mind!

Great teacher! By looking at other reviews its clear that Dr. MacQuarrie has completed changed her style of teaching. This class had no tests or lectures but instead involved reading articles and giving you opinion. thats it. No memorization or countless hours studying but you must attend class and do you homework but class time isn't boring!

You will learn about morality, bigger wicked life questions, and voicing your own opinion. The course content is well selected. Write papers like you mean it and speak up in class. You'll take more of her classes, promise.

After getting a good mark in PSY101, I was thinking this would be another good class. However I was wrong. Had a test every 2 classes, therefore it was hard to cram in a chapter every week. Her classes barely touched what was in the book, making it confusing to study for the test. Will likely avoid her for future Psychology classes.

Not helpful, extremely opinionated and tests had nothing to do with information taught in class or from book.

Didn't reply to my emails at times, and I felt with some topics she had an older style of thinking on them...almost she didn't know the current way of some of the concepts

Very outgoing, sometimes a little too much. Refrain from sitting near the front unless you want to get picked on. Tests were pretty hard, but she tried to make the material as interesting as possible.

With Prof. MacQuarrie, you either love her or hate her. I was not a huge fan as she made me uncomfortable (I avoided sitting too close to the front or on the end of an aisle) and found her quizzes really hard.

Will never take another course with Dr. Macquarrie. i found that she was rude to some students, her tests did not cover the material we discussed in class.. course load was a lot.

She doesn't hold back in class. She works hard to make the material relevant to our lives, sometimes it works, sometimes I don't get it. Some of the material makes me uncomfortable but that's not all bad. We have to read a lot for our tests.

She works hard to make the material relevant to our lives. She's presented stuff that makes you uncomfortable, but that's great.

In the 101 semester I loved going to class- when I had her for 102 I would rather go out and get breakfast. Awkward to watch and condescending. I'm sure she is a wonderful lady in person, but I will do my best to avoid having her as a prof again.

She's just too much. Most boring class, and not very good notes. Quizzes every 2 or 3 weeks. Material on quizzes not usually covered in class

She was a really nice person, but I didn't enjoy her class. I found it really boring, there was too much group work, and the little thought papers we had every week were so annoying.

I really enjoyed her as a person... that being said the class was extremely difficult and most of the tests were made up of information never taught in the class, which made going to class not worthwhile. I'll never take a MacQuarrie class again but it would be great to still keep in contact with her.

I do not find Collen an effective professor at all! I find her classes VERY boring..she has a hard time keeping our attention, so she'll make sex jokes. I also find her rude, when it comes to some of the students. I find her classes pointless to attend, as i find she gets off topic very easy, and i find it hard to relate whats shes teaching to psyc
