Dr. Berlin is a good prof, her lectures are just boring. There's a few big homework assignments, small quizzes before tests, and the exams. She prepares for all of the exams really well, you probably don't have to study that much if you came to class. She cares about her students and what's she's teaching, she just doesn't make it interesting.

Professor Berlin's class was a pretty easy gen ed. The lectures can be a bit redundant, but the information you learn is good. The assignments are easy points if you follow the directions which are very clear. She lets you talk with other people during quizzes and they aren't that hard. Exams are overall pretty easy too.

Dr. Berlin's lectures are not the most interesting, if you're not interested in that field. Her tone may not be the most enthusiastic, but she is knowledgeable and is clear about her exams and assignments.

1 of the most boring classes I have ever taken. Every lecture is her just reading off a slide in a very monotonous voice. She will post lecture slides online but will take out the info she will test you about come exam time. One time she did put up slides with all the info, next day, 9/25 students showed up. She's THAT boring. Labs are horrible

Professor Berlin was very passionate and informative in her teaching of meteorology. Our tests were all short answer, but she lets you have a notecard for all of them. She is very helpful when you ask questions especially when you go in to office hours. This class is not an easy A but you will learn a lot. She is a very understanding professor.

Easily the best in the geo department. Even with large classes of 40 plus students she is available to assist with questions. Her vase experience has made her a great lecturer, and she teaches in a way that you will actually learn from her.

She's really into Meteorology and knows a lot about it.. so she grades tests pretty tough. She grades labs pretty easily and there are a lot so it helps keep your grade decent.

The class was pretty easy overall. At the beginning of the semester she told us not to expect any extra credit, but she gave us two opportunities later on. Lectures can get long and she talks in a pretty monotone voice. She posts study guides for every test and that's basically all you need to study.

Dr. Berlin's lectures were long and boring. She is very passionate about conservation and I found it extremely dry. She would go on and drag things out that could've been kept short and simple. She doesn't understand people who aren't as interested in the topics as her. Tests are not too tough, just know the material. I would not recommend her.

She's really a great teacher. Her grading seems to take points off arbitrarily, but you pretty much get A's and B's no matter what. I have taken her multiple times as I really like her.

I think that she gives terrible exams. I was often times between two answers on multiple choice and sometimes questions were not directly from notes. Other geo 200 classes get notes on exams but she doesn't allow it. s\She does on online quizzes, however.

sooooo so so easy! Took this class online and it was one of the easiest classes ever and the information was actually REALLY interesting. Learned more from this online class than most lectures. She's super friendly too. I totally missed one of our exams and she let me take it with no explanation necessary!

I love Dr. Berlin classes, I'm talking another one w/ her partially for this reason. Tests are more than fair only covering the essentials & what what was emphasized during class-NO SURPRISES! (same goes for 345) Definitely a good choice for a GEO/ESC Writing Emphasis. Always willing to help & makes class enjoyable. Overall a wonderful teacher.

Dr. Berlin is by far one of the best in the Geo Dept. A bit of work is needed but grading is more than fair. It shows that she enjoys what she does and cares about the students. We had a snowstorm one Sunday & an assignment due Monday-she emailed us to worry about getting it done and to just say safe, that we would have plenty of time to finish.

I have take GEO 345, 385, 425, 445, and 485 with Dr. Berlin. Her classes are generally pretty easy, but her grading is very specific on exams (all essay questions in every class). Finals are generally take-home and fairly easy. Her classes are mostly busy work, nthing hard, just time-consuming.

Great teacher! I learned alot from her and even changed my mind on a few things. She knows her stuff. Gives the notes on powerpoint to fill in blanks. 6 fairly easy assignments. Easy quizzes. Exams have 2 essays/40MC. Gives a review and tells you what the essays are on. One of the easier classes I've had.

Honestly, she is one of my favorite teachers that I have had at UWL. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about her subject. Makes the tests really easy because she tells you exactly what is on them. All you do in class is fill in powerpoints. Class attendence is not mandatory. Overall a great teacher!!
