Actively shames students for getting answers wrong instead of working with students. Even if a student demonstrates active participation and has good grades in tests and quizzes, beware if you get called on and get an answer wrong. Sorry we don't think France is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! Dr. Uber is the hardest professor to understand to date. His grading criteria is completely subjective to how much he likes you and sees you "participating." He does not teach to prepare you for the test and doesn't tell you whats on the test until the day or 2 before. He also grades every test differently.

Really disappointed. Prof. Uber mentioned Baylor in Paris about 100 times, but never seemed to help us grasp the concepts. He gets distracted easily, loves making boring jokes, and heavily uses the textbook. Makes us repeat things over and over, without much context or explanation.

He was the teacher that made me cry my first week of classes. The tie joke gets stupid after the 400th time. He teaches you a good deal. Alright, but not my favorite.

Good teacher. Easy to approach. His French is good. More of a Parisian style French. Listen to his lectures and read the book and you should be able to pass. He does try to incorporate humor into the class although it is corny and not very funny.

Can't say too much. I just hate French, but I got a B with minimal effort so you shouldn't fail. He's pretty animated and entertaining during class too.

Lectures are great, he really knows his stuff. Tests are also not that bad if you keep up with the assignments. Does have a tendency to give assignments and then decide not to take them up later. Also, slow grader.
