Comment:

Debbie is one of the best professors I've had at UNM. She's caring and wants all her students to succeed. She's engaging in lecture despite some of the material being dense. If you go to class, do the work, then you should get an A. She's very willing to help students outside of class and responds quickly to emails.

Comment:

She is an amazing teacher. She explains things very clearly and makes sure to be clear about all assignments. You get to work on assignments during class and she curves exams. It's a really easy class overall and the professor is super easy to talk to. It put horror stories about PCHEM to shame!

Dr. Evans is an incredible professor. I wish more of her knowledge and down-to-earth personality could be reflected in other professors. She knows her stuff and will help you understand it and be successful in the course.

Comment:

The classes were so interesting and she made sure that we learn new things every week. The homeworks were pertaining to reviewing a journal , which creates an exposure to prepare for the PhD qualifying exams. She made quantum mechanics so easy to students. I would love to take her course again given a chance.

I had her for 315 but personally 471 was much more interesting and easier as well. PChem is pretty cool when you can understand the real world applications of the science. Fair amount of reading and homework required, plus a substantial term paper, but she is more than willing to help you do well in the class.

Dr. Evans is one of the best Chemistry professors ever. Not only is she willing to meet outside class time, but she is always responsive to emails and phone calls. Although subject matter is difficult, she is able to explain everything thoroughly. Awesome teacher!!!
