Comment:

She does not teach from a syllabus nor teach from a text book. Her classes are very confusing since there is zero plan or a class schedule given. She states she does not teach in a linier typical way. So, every class is random, every class in confusing. I would not recommend her at all to anyone.

Comment:

Tough class for me and I showed up EVERY class day with a voice recorder. Whatever she writes on the board is important to know and understand the concept. Her study guides are almost a waste of time, lots of read, and her tests are tough, but there are "extra credit" T/F worth taking a chance on! I did 1 EC project.

Really nice & kinda funny. You Must READ Everything She Gives! Stickler for accurateness on everything. Tests come from lecture, book, and handouts. The study guide just lists the entire chapter in options; no specifics; multiple choice & labeling, She can ramble on. Many opportunities for extra credit. DO IT! Subject interesting but class is hard.

I actuall kind of enjoyed her soc class unlike most people here. Her lectures arent always relevant to the material but they can be interesting. She is opionated and can rub people the wrong way. Just study the chapters in the book for the test and you will be fine.

She needs to just to hang up teaching. Clearly it is not her thing in life. The endless rambling, throwing in her opinion, note taking is not easy since you have no clue how to take notes in this class. She is not a good teacher at all, it is the start of the semester and i am already confused on how she teaches the topics. DONT TAKE THE CLASS..

Save yourself and don't take her class. I'm pretty sure she's one of the only cultural geography teacher's at TCC, but just take this class somewhere else. If you do have her, just read the book and the hundreds of articles she prints out in class like I did since her lectures don't make any sense. Showing up is pointless and I wasted my time.

This class was horrible. She rambles on and on. if you are taking more than one classes be careful she gives you a lot of material to read including the chapters in the text book. She can't explain things very well. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

You pay for a textbook that you have to use yourself, she says that she explains things going with the chapters. That is a total lie. I am a great student who always does my work and I can barley maintain a C in her class. Her test are insane , they make no sense just like her teaching style . You will not learn a thing unless you read it yourself.

It might have been me but this class was pointless. I wish I used rate my professor first. she lectures throughout class barely opens your text until final. She gives extra readings along with the textbook information. Essay on every test. Extra reading is too thick barely have time for other classes. She greats on grammar not concept. Horrible teacher. DO NIT TAKE HER.

Absolute worst! I say high textbook use is high because if you want to learn ANYTHING from this class, you better crack open that book because you won't learn a thing from her except her ignorant and outdated opinions. Save yourself and do not take this class!

The worst teacher I ever had. Not staying on the topic at all;it's a self study class so even if you don't show up to the class you're fine because we haven't covered anything important! her tests are hard and are based on her opinions sometimes. Do not take her unless if you are really interested in sociology!

This is the WORST teacher!!! You could FAIL even if you're a good student. In the box of tests to be picked up, students had 28's, 50's on her tests. The amount of material is huge to cover and her notes are so poor!!! Four chapters, ten articles, and extra readings, for one test. You'll never remember enough to write the four essays on her tests.

This is not a difficult class if you know how to take it. It's possible to get an A. Read the assignments and use her lectures to narrow down your studies. She gives examples of test questions and there is lots of extra credit. She is very eccentric and oppinionated. Be prepared.

This teacher has difficulty keeping her thoughts in a linear pattern, which makes it difficult to take notes. The class was generally easy, even though I failed the first exam. There are in-class essays. An optional paper can get you extra credit.

Shes tough. Her lectures aren't that bad but it would be nice if she'd let us talk. So if you don't mind just listening to someone lecture take her. Her tests aren't that bad BUT make sure you read her articles well.

She makes class very interesting with the topics she covers. The only issue with that is she doesnt allow much discussion outside of her lecturing. She thinks her opinions are facts. She also talks down to the class as if we're not capable of forming our own opinions. Tests were rather odd but require you to pay attention & do some reading. Hard grader. Good class though!
