Wouldnt count the extra credit I earned. The person next to me got worse grades in all his essays and she told him he needs a C on the final to get A in class, and I had As and Bs plus extra credit in all the assignments and she told me I needed A+ on final to get an A in class. She got issues and not fair. Reported to dean!

My suggestion is to talk to her about your essays before and after you turn it in. To me, she's more helpful one on one. Don't try to be too fancy with your essays, just be direct and give examples and you should be fine. Extra credit and attendance helped me get an A. Yeah, it's one of those classes, but I did learn how to write vauble essays.

Very educative and interactive class. She makes sure she carries everyone along. As long as you do your assignments and listen in class, you will surely pass. Her class is also fun because she tells funny stories and sings to us.

Probably one of the best professors I've had at El Camino, she will help you find your style of writing and inspire you. You can expect her to be clear, the essay's are easy if you've down the reading. Such a great, and kind professor. I've taken her two times, and can say that she inspires me to write each semester. I took her for English A, 1A.

She is an easy grader. Make sure you don't have anyone in the class that knows you because she likes to gossip with her students and with the teachers. If people tell her things about you she will hold those things against you, and you will see it in your grades. Dont talk to anyone in the class. Besides all that you'll like her and her stories.

She is nice but I wish I never took her class, super tough grader and if you are not a very good writer she won't help you and an A will be impossible, plus she never gives you the extra credit points you got over the semester, not fair. Ruined my chance of having perfect GPA.

I have been an A student all my life when it comes to papers, but for whatever reason I always fell short of an A with her. Hindman is a really sweet person but as a teacher her lectures can drag on and she tells a lot of personal stories, she gives grammar lessons that are often confusing, and she will have you writing papers all semester.

Comment:

Mrs. Hindman is a very sweet lady that honestly cares about her students and wants them to be their best (in writing). She gives 4 essays, which are given more than enough time to complete. She tells great stories about her life and past. She allows you to rewrite one essay and helps you with all your essays immensely. Definitely recommend!

Mrs. Hindman is an awesome professor. Extremely easy and informative as long as you do your work. An essay will be due every two weeks, and there are win-win quizzes. She accommodates students in the Special Resource Center (SRC). She tells great stories. Would highly recommend taking one of her classes.

Class was a lot of fun and was fairly easy. Yes, you need to take the time and do the essays. The whole class pretty much revolves around the essays but she helps you like crazy. She read one of my essays like 3 times before I turned it in for an A. Easy A in this class if you just do the work and show up. Really nice and funny too.

I love this teacher. I had the most fun in this class than I've had in any other class at El Camino. She really makes the class feel personal and was always accessible. She doesn't make you take the final if you get a B or higher on the research paper. Lets you rewrite one essay. Lots of easy, win win quizzes. I love this teacher!
