It is an interesting class. The readings can be very boring and confusing, but she goes over them in class. You must read to do good on tests. She is very fair no tricks. I recommend taking her!

She's such a nice lady and Race, Class, Gender is such an interesting class. She assigns a lot of reading from the book but it's usually only a couple pages. No homework, two tests and a final paper on a book you have to read. Very organized teacher and gives lots of extra credit opportunities

Tests come right from lectures and the Lemert book. If you don't understand something - ask. She isn't going to make you feel stupid, though she isn't always crystal clear either. NOTE: If she repeats something - it's on the test. She'll definitely stress it.

Pretty easy teacher, she gives three exams on the two books that she gives out, don't really have to read them thoroughly to do well. She also gives lots of extra credit opportunities and made the final optional for our class...wants you to pass =)

She cares a lot about her students and want everyone to get a passing grade. She will work with you when you need her too. Her exams are straight forward and she will let you argue questions you got wrong for more points. I recommend this class to anyone.

horrible. boring. if you are an athlete...get out NOW. i repeat: DROP THE CLASS. does not excuse your absences when you have games. which is rediculous, i have never seen another teacher do that.

She is awesome. She goes out of her way to make sure you not only understand the information but you will actually remember it and apply it to other things. Everything you learn in this class can apply to other classes and real life. She makes the information interesting and really opens your eyes to reality.

Prof. Erdmans is a very smart woman. Sometimes, she gets a little ahead of herself and you feel lost, but she has NO problem going back over things. A little too much reading for a 200 level course, but not bad. Just keep up w/ reading and you'll do great. Simple one questions quizzes and 3 essays - no final. Good class, super nice lady :-)

she is a great teacher. great class discussions. she offers alot of extra credit on anything from class work to anything on campus. gives 1 question quiz according to reading books on most of the classes, but they easy questions. not to dificult on grading and helps you on writing skills. def take her if you want to learn.

This class is a lot of work, it never stops, but if you just do the assignments she won't fail you and if you go to the workshops you'll get a fine grade! Don't let the other comments scare you, it's really not THAT bad, just a lot of work! And she will give you help if you just ask!

Enjoy the professors in soc department, NOT this one. Dont mind putting a lot of work & effort into a class but shes a bit overboard. Makes it out like her class is your only class so if you dont have 15 hrs. a week to devote to her class DONT TAKE IT. Amount of work & way its stuctured= HORRIBLE
