Pretty much all class time is just lecture, which is fine because it's usually pretty interesting. He makes quite a few jokes, and he looks at things from multiple perspectives, which is pretty unusual for US history. Overall really great professor and I'd recommend to anyone wanting to take history.

If you are looking for a light load of work that is generally not super difficult, then take Chase as your professor. Although he will never personally know your name, he makes jokes and is very kind. He is not great about responding to emails, but is very helpful in person.

This class was so easy. He has online readings and the readings in the required text book were more challenging but you can always find anything online so I skipped the textbook readings and still got an A

Entire class is lecture but always some jokes and stays real. He assigns a metric ton to read but you don't have to to pass the tests. He didn't have an assignment for 3 weeks one time. Heaviest week so far was 2 assignments (small assignments). Pretty attractive for how old he actually is. Cares a lot, super chill.

Professor Chase had a ton of knowledge on the material he was teaching. You could tell he was passionate about the subject so you couldn't help but really enjoy the lectures. There were films that showed different eras we were talking about. His quizzes were to make sure you were doing the reading outside of the classroom, not to stress you out.

Great professor! The class is super easy and pretty interesting. I think we had 3 or 4 easy homework assignments and a couple extra credit opportunities. He mostly lectured or played a movie during class and occasionally took attendance. No final, just a final project the week before finals week.

I had Chase for my first quarter at the college and I'm so glad! He is a really laid-back, funny guy and he makes his class very interesting. No final test, just a final project (essay, pictoral, etc) and very few homework assignments! He made colonial US history more interesting than I thought would be possible.

Chase is by far my favorite professor. His lectures are made interesting by his sense of humor and he shows a lot of movies. He gives out plenty of extra credit opportunities. the only bad thing is you have to keep up on your reading or you will be behind.

I noticed I am the first one to post any thing on Eric in regards the US History. A lot of the class we watch movies on the subject and there is endless opportunity for extra credit. Eric is long winded in his lectures but is also for encouraging with interaction and questions. If you want some one who knows history and talking about it take Eric
