Erik was a great prof! This course is pretty heavy but he explained the material pretty well, and I felt all the assignments and tests were pretty fair game. Really nice guy, be prepared for dad jokes to be told mid-class!

Decent teacher if you can learn off notes. Assignments are pretty easy, but don't expect similar questions on the exam. Exams are HARD! Final exam average was 50%

It is a 80 or 90 minutes class. He did not give us time to think about solve questions in class. We just take notes and take notes. Does not have time to solve questions by ourselves. Tests are difficult than usual class's stuff. Quite broke my heart. I dislike this class because I just took notes all the time.

Comment:

Erik is hilarious and explains the material well. He tends to rush through material but if you stop him or slow him down he's more than willing to explain and clarify. Assignments are either easy or brutal, tests are just like practice. One of my favourite profs, would love to have him again.

Good prof. Makes jokes. Looks the crazy math prof for sure. Notes are pretty good. Assignments are hard, but help you learn and prepare you for tests. Text is pretty useless except for assigned problems. Erik provides practice tests that are VERY similar to tests. Tests are pretty easy, but he's a tough marker. Study and you'll do well.

Erik is the hardest professor I ever had. If you have lots of time and interested in math, you can take it; but if you are busy and have other stuff to keep going, trust me, Erik is going to kill all your time!!!! expect student to know everything before the class, barely explain everything, I got A+ for both math 111 and 112 but I still suffered

Erik is a great prof. I highly recommend him. Concise lectures had many examples that were supplemented by the textbook and they consistently finished 30 mins early, leaving lots of time for questions or leaving early. Tests were extremely similar to assignments and example tests. Class average and median was 60%.

If you go over the content before lecture, you'll do fine. He moves quickly, which is great bc classes are short, but not so great if you're unfamiliar with the content. He is very clear what you need to do to get a good mark. Just do the work and you'll be fine.

Eric is an average teacher. He gets you through the course, and although assignments can be challenging, tests are very easy (although he has some odd marking tendencies, inconsistent with many teachers). I took 1st year Calc in high school and yet was still sometimes confused in his class, but he usually leave class time to help students.

Great guy, good teacher, doesnt waste time, whole class happens on the board. Keeps class stimulating with break time jokes and is very easy to get help from. Also he's actually famous! Look him up online @.@ how he wound up working at ufv I don't know! He dresses really cool too! Super nerd chic all the way!

I took Erik for Business math, and he made on clear on day what the course load would be like. If you need a prof to hold your hand go somewhere else. He gives effort in class, and if you do as well, you should be in good shape come the end of semester.
