Comment:

Just because you can skip class doesn't mean you should. People who found his lectures not engaging did not engage themselves. Speak up, give your opinion. Makes a much better class. Yes, his class can be easy as he tells you exactly what you need to know but he WILL test you on things he only mentioned in class. Great guy!

Comment:

Easiest class I ever took. I never payed attention in class, often skipping, I didn't do any studying, took <10 minutes on each exam (including the final), and still got a perfect score. Take this class if you need to fill that social studies gen ed.

Don't buy the book. Show up to class and write down the notes on the board and then go on Reddit or something. Review notes briefly before each of the three exams and get an easy A.

He gives out two exams and a final. The first two exams are just answering 5 questions and the last one is answering 10 questions. I barely showed up for class and got a 80 on the first exam and 75 on the second. I know I did not do well on the and probably got like a 50/60 on it but I somehow managed to get a B+ in his class. He scales!!!

Comment:

Took this class as a winter intersession. He talks real slow, but it is sometimes interesting. Easy A no question. Just a little bit long for a 3 hour class. Just make sure you bring your laptop or something so that you don't just fall asleep.

One of the easiest professors out there. His lectures can be interesting but he does tend to repeat himself. He takes attendance at the beginning of class and is mandatory. He is a tough grader but if you get a 80, that is considered an A. There is no homework.

Prof Anthes is a nice old guy but tends to repeat himself over and over again all class, this obviously gets very annoying but you remember what hes talking about via repetition. He only gives 3 exams all semester (no homework) and they all take 5 min (5 open easy response questions). Attendance is "Mandatory" (only went to 4 classes)

Wicked easy class. There are 3 exams, one of which is the final. The first two exams are 5 questions worth 25% of your grade each, last one is 10 questions and it is worth 50% but they are wicked easy. Get a friend to take notes for you and you don't have to go. No homework at all. VERY easy.

Nice guy! He teaches without bias. My only problem is that he's pretty strict with grading. He only gives three quizzes throughout the semester for grading. If you attend every class and take good notes, should do fine. If you don't answer the questions exactly how they're worded in the Constitution, he'll take points off/ give no credit.

One of the best teachers I've had at Uamss Lowell. Make Sure to attent class as possible and TAKE NOTES ON THE BOARD. Those notes will be on the test. People say he's boring, but that's because they are all science majors not interested in American Politics. Strongly Reccomend to have.

Took over the winter. Very easy. Gives 2 exams (5 short answer questions) and 1 final exam (10 short answer questions). No papers, HWs, quizzes, only the tests. Just copy down his notes on the board, and use those for studying. Never bought the book and did not need it, I still got an A. Will be taking American politics over the summer with him.

If you cannot do well in Prof. Anthes class then you need to reassess if you should be in college. Great guy who can at times be repetitious. All topics covered clearly and without bias. Prof. Anthes gives you the tools you need to succeed. He is happy to answer questions and make sure you do well.

This guy is enthusiastic and unbiased when covering topics. He got me interested in politics. I don't understand how people say he's boring. The way he teaches reminds me of a coach trying to get the message across his team. I'm actually watching him right now on local access channel. Try not to take his class in the summer though= Long hours+no AC
