This was one of my least favorite classes to take. He doesn't respond to emails and when asking for my G.E.'s email because for some reason it wasn't on the syllabus, he still didn't reply making it super difficult to find help. Unless you already love econ, his lectures are hard to understand. Only thing graded are the the tests(super hard)

He never responded to my email, refused to say final exam times on zoom or post them on Canvas, and loves to hear himself talk.

He was a solid professor given class was on zoom. No textbook or videos so all learning was based on in class discussion. Very well prepared and works with you.

I was worried going into the class but it quickly became my favorite class. His lecture style is engaging and understandable. Be prepared to take notes and to study hard for tests. Tests are the only source of points for your grade.

I thought he was abrasive and condescending until he personally helped me and I realized he does REALLY care about his students (he will straight up tell you he does not). I struggled with a lot of the concepts after midterm 1 - you NEED to go to EVERY class, or fail. His lectures are amazing and never boring, partly because you'll be scared.

If you need a schedule or out of class supplements like a textbook, readings or videos, do not take this class with him. Grades are 2 midterms, a final, and 4 1% extra credit short essays. I found myself really struggling without any extra guidance outside of class. Decent lectures and he posts all slides. If you can DIY through a class, its okay.

Drones on and on in the lectures and unfortunately there is no book to learn from outside the class. He can be insulting and condescending to anyone he doesnt see on his level. Cant think of a worse attitude to have in a professor. The only professor in my 3 years here that I wouldnt recommend.

The content that Glen's class covered wasn't difficult by any means, but it overall seemed like he wanted beginners to unnecessarily squirm. Tests were fairly basic, but without homework and practice, there was a general confusion surrounding expectations. He was not transparent with his grading criteria at all - your final grade is a surprise!

Comment:
Glen is incredibly smart and making introductory level courses a little rough. He's lectures are very engaging but there's no homework to practice the concepts. He likes to make you think and work for the correct answer. If you want an easy A, find a different professor. Glen wants you to actually learn. no textbook required: recommend getting one.

This is one of the best classes I have taken. Based his course material solely on lectures, so there isn't a whole lot of outside material assistance, however this means that what you see in the lectures is what you get tested on. He is a great lecturer and always had entertaining classes. Take time to talk to him and introduce yourself.

Glen is an AWESOME guy and professor. His lectures were super fun and he was hilarious. Absolutely no homework so your grade is based solely on two exams. Exams are fairly basic but your grade is depending on only that. Would recommend this professor.

He expects students to come to office hours for help yet has no drop in hours. Asks questions outside the lectures. Honestly one of those teachers who gives you a hammer and some wood then asks you to build a house.

Pros: little material to memorize, requires a lot of effort Con:No drop-in office hours, no textbook which is very relevant to the class materials, is an "answers" based grader, loves vague and "trap" questions, sparse slides, does not give back assignments/test during class, sparse lectures, loves questions that are outside the scope of lectures

Comment:
He seems very knowledgeable in his materials and have a high expectation on his students too. Exams are very tough and most of them are outside of his lecture materials. He did not teach much but require you to know a lot. Recommend to those who has previous understanding on this materials. Don't expect to understand anything without studying.
