Very tough professor. While his lectures are interesting and he provides lots of real world examples, they really only skim the surface. I read every chapter twice and made notecards, but his test questions often ask about very specific details or statistics, not overall concepts - not an effective way of testing what we have actually learned!

I have mixed opinions on Doctor Risk. He is EXTREMELY tough and what he lectures on is nothing that's on the test. HOWEVER, I find his lectures extremely interesting I've learned information that I know I will use in my future health profession. He is very tough, but I don't think he is doing that to be mean, only to push us to our full potential.

Risk is a horrible teacher. he yells at the class all the time for not understanding when he never even teachs us what he is asking. his test are impossible to pass, i got the 3rd highest score on a test i studied for days on and i got a 62% the highest score was 68%. DO NOT TAKE HIM! you will be making a HUGE mistake

for some reason i think he hates the students..may be he thinks thats the only class we take for the entire semester and make u work so hard..grant writings all the time and he never teach u how he wants those papers.. really hard on grades. never wants to help the students at all..exams almost every other week.. don't take him ever !!!

Risk is a very hard proffessor and his tests are the hardest i have ever taken and im pre medicine! his lectures can be interesting though. He's very knowledgable. I don't recommend him at all.
