Comment:

The assignments are not hard but do require a lot of time. The group projects weigh a lot and thus, it is important to do as well as you can because the final exam is very very hard. It is not as simple as memorize his slides and pass. He will require you to understand the reasoning to the facts. Lectures are too long and on the rarely interesting.

The MECH526 isn't the most interesting but the projects can give you a lot of knowledge. The prof is smart and helpful (except for stupid question i.e. how many questions at the exams, really who cares). go to class, participate and you will have a good time plus this class helps your presentation skills.

Comment:

A course that potentially could be interesting, but which unfortunately is not. Pretty boring, not really substantial (a lot is based on assumptions just to give a 'qualitative' idea of things). For those who prefer more concrete 'fact' and 'logic', don't bother. Before, I was interested in the material; Now I'm just glad it's over.

Attia is not arrogant like rest of the people say. He is very respectful and understanding. Well there are always a few ignorant students who start talking to each other while during the class...and Halmi understandably doesn't like it.

Hypocrite, arrogant, pomponous. Go to class,keep your mouth shut. He will mock you if you say something "unsmart". His class is not a priority for him, will make you practice orals and post-pone them 3 classes in a row without warning. Every class has unpleasant surprises and annoucements.

If you can possibly avoid taking a class with Prof. Attia, by all means DO IT, he is absolutely one of the most pompous fools I have ever had the displeasure of taking a class with... he will change the course as he goes along, and he's rude as sin.
