Refused to help me outside of class, goes off topic. If you try to take notes during his lecture, he will take off points; you're writing while he's talking. There are easier methods to do what he's teaching, but he will mark them wrong because it wasn't done his way. If you do the work, you get an A; but you have to understand it to do it.

One of the requirements for the class on the syllabus is "to be interested in the class." Strict/ridiculous rules such as if you tell him you're going to be absent ahead of time he still won't take your homework. Sometimes he gets off topic and expects your undivided attention, probably because no one else wants to listen to him.

UGHH!!! He made me feel and look dumb in front of the class. He has loads of steps to get an answer, but have to do it HIS way. I got the same answer as my friend, it was right, but I got it incorrect just because I did not do it the way he taught..his way wasn't even clear or easy to begin with. Just bad.

This class was completely demoralizing. Every time I asked for extra help I was yelled at and made to feel stupid. I think I'll get an A but that is through very hard work. Do not take this class if you are looking for an easy A. Quizzes and exams are nothing like the homework-much harder. Very stressful semester.

Attendance is mandatory. Assignments and quizzes only count if you attend the entire class period, and there is no make up / late work. Strict set of rules, not an easy class and very time consuming, as all steps in solving an equation has to be written out his way. A lot of homework and pop quizzes.

I don't even know why he has ANY happy faces. I understand math and have no problem with it, I was just lazy in the past, and when I decide to do my hw this guy shows up and ruins my entire semester. DON'T take him, he won't help, and it ALWAYS has to be HIS way. Don't give him classes to teach - he should've been fired years ago!!!

He's helpful, but so what. He's very annal about work, and attendance. he doesn't like people writing when he's talking or explaining things. Even tho you could understand everything already and want to just getting ahead in tonight's hw. Nope, he doesnt like it. And not very understanding towards the students. plus its hard to understand his lisp.

illegible handwriting all over papers in RED ink.Emotional/frustrated even when people try to understand.Says useless metaphors and repeats when people do not understand the concept instead of showing with numbers.Says "Just read the book!" even if you say you did read it.Made me feel dumb when I needed help with a"simple" concept.Errogant.

He Teaches well but, Like others have said its his way or the highway i did many problems my way because it was much faster and easier to do. But he got frustrated and marked me off. So that's what you need to remember about this teacher he's not very open to new ideas.

I did all the work and got an A in this class, however, in the process of doing so, i found him to be completely annoying. He was very anal about work. There is only one way to solve a problem. Its either you do it his way, or get points marked off. Make sure to staple your HW, turn off your phone and dont come to class late-or he'll take off point

BASICALLY, you either do it his way, or fail the class. Not open to other methods of solving the answer, even if its correct! Even the process of showing work has to be done his way. learned alot, but balance that with a close minded teacher and you dont have much motivation to go to class.

Prof. Metz is probablly the worst teacher I have ever had. He is not enthusiastic about his teaching and is there just for the pay. He is VERY anal-thinks there is only ONE way to solve a math problem. He is strict and intentionally makes you feel stupid. I do not recommend Metz.

I made an A in Math 24. I took Metz for Math 25 and was doing so poorly that I had to drop the class. I have to agree with everything that was said in the previous post from 9/22, this guy must have been in my class. His teaching style, is either you get it or you don't. It's like he understands it so you should to. He will help u after class.

NOT RECOMMENDED- Too much hm, everyday is a new chapter, quiz once a week, tests are tricky, picky about how to do your hm, puts you on the spot if you missed an assignment and come in late. if you ask for help and you still dont understand he'll make you feel dumb. very negative, and teaches too fast.
