Professor Longoria is straight forward. If you have a science requirement, I suggest you take him online. The only thing thats nerve wracking is his criticalness of the discussion post websites. I literally hold my breath until I see my grade. Overall good Professor!!

Best professor I've had at broward college so far. So helpful, makes everything a lot clearer with his lectures. I suggest him to anyone as long as you don't skip class!

Ridiculous, being charged for a class that expects me to learn by myself. On his discussions, he had a rule that said that we were not allowed to use the same website that somebody had used in the past, which I believe did not challenge me, but rather limited me. I think he is just trying to compensate for his lack of input to the class. Terrible.

There are no lectures what so ever. You are literally on your own reading straight from the book, writing a discussion on the topic each week as well as a quiz, plus midterm & final exams. He really does absolutely nothing so if you cannot study on your own, do not take him. I enjoy this topic so I am doing well so far. CHOOSE WISELY.

The content of the class is not hard at all. In fact I did very well on all the assignments. However, be prepared to write a good essay which counts as 30% of your grade. He has very specific guidelines and you must follow each and every single one of them. He will not hesitate when it comes to taking off points. He's pretty rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This class was extremely easy, but this professor is so rude and just overall a terrible person. He doesn't care about his students and is very rude in communicating with his online students. An easy class if you don't have to contact him, but if you do, be prepared to be made to feel like an idiot.

I do not get all the bad reviews. I took this class online and yes, it is not easy at all, but is crystal clear when it comes to grading. 9 quizzes and 11 PFs. THAT IS IT. Every time I sent him a message, he responded right away. Recommend it if you want to have a decent grade without a huge amount of work.

Short with his students, peevish, and trigger happy with the F. Tech issues with Blackboard are certain doom. Stiff and unrelenting. Longoria demands contact through blackboard yet refuses or forgets to reply to all forms of communication. It's really a pity that I hadn't bothered to read any of his reviews. Not enough hw or points. A shame to FIU

This is by far the worst professor I have ever had. Extremely harsh grader, rude, and not helpful what so ever. This man is an embarrassment to FIU. He has zero compassion and seems like someone who's unhappy and seeking revenge on his students for issues in his past. Avoid taking any of his classes at all costs!!

This was by far one of the worst classes I've taken. It started out easy with a weekly discussion post and an assignment. However, he grades harshly and is very quick to give you an F if he cannot open a file right away. The final paper is worth 30% of your grade, and he chooses the topic. Don't bother questioning him, he isn't helpful and rude.

This is my second time taking him online, and once again, a great experience. 10 assignments, 10 forum posts, and 1 major essay all determine your grade. How people can complain about him I have no idea, because he lays out exactly what he expects from you. Replies to e-mails pretty well. Love this professor.

I have nothing bad to say about him. He is respectful, he responded to his email in a reasonable manner and time frame. My biggest complaint is that he changed the essay worth 30% of our grade from any topic to his topic (Climate Change). However, that being said, he isn't going to hang you out and A, you have to earn it and he's a good guy.

He will not meet with you because he's sick, out of town, etc. (always an excuse). Didn't even bother messaging me back several times. His grading couldn't be anymore erratic and doesn't even bother commenting on what was wrong. Comes off extremely rude in his messages sent to the entire class or individually. He honestly just a grumpy old man.

if you take his online class you should be aware that blackboard is really badly designed and to make matters worse the professor is computer illiterate which means he will mark you down or not allow you to reverse mistakes that blackboard does not allow you edit on your own. Other than that his class is easy.. he's senile.

I was concerned with all of the neg reviews. He is very nice. Responds quickly. Understanding. His material sometimes is all over the place but all the info for work is there. Common Sense and a bit of work put into it and this class is a breeze. No book is needed. He provides everything and Google completes what you dont understand from him.

I took this guy for an online course. It is a joke. His assignments are quite simple, but he repeats questions on assignments and they are littered with grammatical errors and are worded very poorly. It seems like he haphazardly does everything, which ultimately becomes your loss. It is easy to get a good grade, but he's lame.

He's horrible. He's very pompous and thinks highly of himself. Everything that goes wrong ins your fault and never his. If he's going to fast don't bother to tell him because he will blame you and hold it against you for the rest of the semester. Always treats students like lesser beings.
